Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers, saying to them,“ Go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury.”

Then Elisha came to Damascus. It is enough for the disciple that he may become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they insult the members of his household!

But some of them said,“ He casts out the demons by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons.”

because they have abandoned Me, and have worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh the god of Moab, and Milcom the god of the sons of Ammon; and they have not walked in My ways, doing what is right in My sight and keeping My statutes and My ordinances, as his father David did.

and have thrown their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but only the work of human hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them.

But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite,“ Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and say to them,‘ Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal zebub, the god of Ekron?’

They said to him,“ A man came up to meet us and said to us,‘ Go, return to the king who sent you and say to him,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending messengers to inquire of Baal zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not get down from the bed upon which you have lain, but you shall certainly die.’ ” ’ ”

But when the Pharisees heard this, they said,“ This man casts out demons only by Beelzebul the ruler of the demons.”And knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them,“ Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and no city or house divided against itself will stand.And if Satan is casting out Satan, he has become divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?And if by Beelzebul I cast out the demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore, they will be your judges.

And there was a young man named Eutychus sitting on the window sill, sinking into a deep sleep; and as Paul kept on talking, Eutychus was overcome by sleep and fell down from the third floor, and was picked up dead.

Is it not disaster to the criminal, And misfortune to those who practice injustice?

So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And as the ark of God came to Ekron, the Ekronites cried out, saying,“ They have brought the ark of the God of Israel to us, to kill us and our people!”

“ Out of the window she looked and wailed, The mother of Sisera through the lattice,‘ Why does his chariot delay in coming? Why do the hoofbeats of his chariots delay?’

Now one man drew his bow at random and struck the king of Israel in a joint of the armor. So he said to the driver of his chariot,“ Turn around and take me out of the battle, for I am severely wounded.”

Do you not possess what Chemosh your god gives you to possess? So whatever the Lord our God has dispossessed before us, we will possess it.

Take ten loaves with you, some pastries, and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will happen to the boy.”

My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, he is standing behind our wall, He is looking through the windows, He is peering through the lattice.

behold, the Lord is going to strike your people, your sons, your wives, and all your possessions with a great plague;and you will suffer severe sickness, a disease of your bowels, until your bowels come out because of the sickness, day by day.’ ”
