Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers, saying to them,“ Go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury.”

Ahaziah had fallen through the window of his upstairs room in Samaria. He had hurt himself. So he sent messengers to ask the god named Baal- Zebub for advice. Baal- Zebub was the god of the city of Ekron. Ahaziah said to the messengers,“ Go and ask Baal- Zebub whether I will get well again.”

Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice in his upper chamber in Samaria, and lay sick; so he sent messengers, telling them,“ Go, inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this sickness.”

One day Israel’s new king, Ahaziah, fell through the latticework of an upper room at his palace in Samaria and was seriously injured. So he sent messengers to the temple of Baal zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether he would recover.

以利沙來到大馬色；亞蘭王便哈達正患着病；有人告訴王說：『神人來到這裏了。』王就對哈薛說：『你手裏帶着禮物去會見神人，託他尋問永恆主說：『我患這病、活得了、活不了？』於是哈薛就去，要會見以利沙；他手裏帶着禮物，就是大馬色各樣財物四十載、用駱駝載的。既已到了，他就站在以利沙面前，說：『你兒子亞蘭王便哈達打發我來見你；又問說：「我患這病、活得了活不了？」』以利沙對哈薛說：『你去對他說：「你一定活得了」；但是永恆主指示我他還是一定死的。』

學生和先生一樣，奴僕和主人一樣，也就夠了。人既給家主起外號叫別西卜，豈不更要給他家人起外號麼？

但他們中間卻有人說：『他趕鬼是靠着鬼王別西卜趕的。』

我列祖所毁滅的國：歌散、哈蘭、利色、和在提拉撒的伊甸人；這些國的神何曾援救過它們呢？

因為他離棄了我，去敬拜西頓人的女神亞斯他錄、摩押的神基抹、和亞捫人的神米勒公，沒有走我的路，而行我所看為對的事，沒有像他父親大衛一樣守我的律例和典章。

將它們的神像都扔在火裏；因為他們並不是神，乃是人手造的，木頭石頭的；所以他們除滅他們。

但是永恆主的使者對提斯比人以利亞說：『你起來、上去迎接撒瑪利亞王的使者，對他們說：「是不是因為以色列中沒有上帝，而你們得去尋問以革倫的神巴力西卜呢？」

使者回答他說：『有一個人迎着我們而上來，對我們說：「去吧，你們回去見那差遣你們的王，對他說：永恆主這樣說：是不是因為以色列中沒有上帝，而你得差遣人去尋問以革倫的神巴力西卜呢？這樣，你所上的床、你必不能從那裏下來；你必定死。」』

法利賽人聽見了就說：『這個人趕鬼，無非是靠着鬼王別西卜罷了！』耶穌知道他們的心思，就對他們說：『凡國自相紛爭，必至於荒涼；凡城或家自相紛爭，必站立不住。撒但如果趕撒但，就自相紛爭了，那他的國怎能站立得住呢？我若是靠着別西卜趕鬼，你們的子弟又靠着誰趕呢？為了這一點、他們就要反駁你們了。

有一個壯年人名叫猶推古、坐在窗臺上，漸漸地被沉睡勝過了。保羅講論長些，壯年人被睡眠所勝過，就從三層樓上掉下去；扶起來，已經死了。

豈不是災難臨到不義之人，而禍患臨到作孽之輩麼？

他們就把上帝的櫃送到以革倫；上帝的櫃到了以革倫，以革倫人就喊叫起來，說：『他們將以色列上帝的櫃轉運到我們這裏，要害死我們和我們的眾民了。』

『西西拉的母親從窗戶裏眺望，從窗櫺中尖聲呼叫說：「他的戰車為何拖延不來呢？他車輪的馬蹄聲為何遲遲聽不到呢？」

有一個人隨便拉一拉弓，恰巧射進了以色列王胸甲聯接塊與鎧甲之間；王對趕車的說：『你轉過車手來、拉我吧；我受了傷了。』

豈不是你應當取得你的神基抹所趕出的人之地，而我們應當取得我們的上帝永恆主從我們面前所趕出的人之地為業麼？

你要帶着十個餅，幾個脆餅；和一瓶蜜去見他；他就會告訴你、孩子要怎樣。』

我的愛人好比瞪羚羊，或是小鹿仔。看哪，他在那裏站着，在我們的牆後呢！他從窗戶往裏注視着呢，從窗櫺往裏窺看着呢。

那麼你就看吧、永恆主必大大擊打你的人民、你的妻子和兒女、跟你一切的財物。你本身呢、必患重病，腸子的病，直到你的腸子因病日日沉重的緣故都墜出來。」』
