Then Elijah said to King Ahaziah,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron— is it because there is no God in Israel for you to inquire of his will?— you will not get up from your sickbed; you will certainly die.’”

Elisha came to Damascus while King Ben-hadad of Aram was sick, and the king was told,“ The man of God has come here.”So the king said to Hazael,“ Take a gift with you and go meet the man of God. Inquire of the LORD through him,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’”Hazael went to meet Elisha, taking with him a gift: forty camel-loads of all the finest products of Damascus. It is enough for a disciple to become like his teacher and a slave like his master. If they called the head of the house‘ Beelzebul,’ how much more the members of his household!

But some of them said,“ He drives out demons by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons.”

Did the gods of the nations that my predecessors destroyed rescue them— Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the Edenites in Telassar?

For they have abandoned me; they have bowed down to Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, to Chemosh, the god of Moab, and to Milcom, the god of the Ammonites. They have not walked in my ways to do what is right in my sight and to carry out my statutes and my judgments as his father David did.

They have thrown their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but made from wood and stone by human hands. So they have destroyed them.

But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite,“ Go and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and say to them,‘ Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?

They replied,“ A man came to meet us and said,‘ Go back to the king who sent you and declare to him,“ This is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you’re sending these men to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore, you will not get up from your sickbed; you will certainly die.”’”

When the Pharisees heard this, they said,“ This man drives out demons only by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons.”Knowing their thoughts, he told them,“ Every kingdom divided against itself is headed for destruction, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? For this reason they will be your judges.

and a young man named Eutychus was sitting on a window sill and sank into a deep sleep as Paul kept on talking. When he was overcome by sleep, he fell down from the third story and was picked up dead.

Doesn’t disaster come to the unjust and misfortune to evildoers?

The people of Gath then sent the ark of God to Ekron, but when it got there, the Ekronites cried out,“ They’ve moved the ark of Israel’s God to us to kill us and our people!”

Sisera’s mother looked through the window; she peered through the lattice, crying out:“ Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why don’t I hear the hoofbeats of his horses?”

Isn’t it true that you can have whatever your god Chemosh conquers for you, and we can have whatever the LORD our God conquers for us?

Take with you ten loaves of bread, some cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will happen to the boy.”

My love is like a gazelle or a young stag. See, he is standing behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice.

the LORD is now about to strike your people, your sons, your wives, and all your possessions with a horrible affliction.You yourself will be struck with many illnesses, including a disease of the intestines, until your intestines come out day after day because of the disease.”
