And Elijah said to the king,“ This is what the Lord says: Why did you send messengers to Baal zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether you will recover? Is there no God in Israel to answer your question? Therefore, because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on; you will surely die.”

对王说：“耶和华如此说：‘你差人去问以革伦神巴力西卜，岂因以色列中没有神可以求问吗？所以你必不下所上的床，必定要死！’”

他对王说：“耶和华如此说：‘你派人去问以革伦的神明巴力‧西卜，是因为以色列中没有上帝可以让你求问他的话吗？所以你必不能下所上的床，你一定会死！’”

以利亚对王说：“耶和华说，‘你差人去求问以革伦的神明巴力·西卜，是因为以色列没有上帝可以求问吗？因此，你再也不能下床了，你必定死。’”

以利亚对亚哈谢说：“耶和华这样说：‘你差派使者去求问以革伦的神巴力．西卜，是因为以色列中没有神可以求问吗？因此，你必不能从你躺上去的那张床上下来，因为你必定死。’”

對王說：「耶和華如此說：『你差人去問以革倫神巴力‧西卜，豈因以色列中沒有神可以求問嗎？所以你必不下所上的牀，必定要死！』」

他對王說：「耶和華如此說：『你派人去問以革倫的神明巴力‧西卜，是因為以色列中沒有上帝可以讓你求問他的話嗎？所以你必不能下所上的床，你一定會死！』」

謂之曰、耶和華云、以色列中豈無上帝、可以諮諏、乃遣使詢以革倫神巴力西卜乎、故爾所登之牀、不得再下、必死矣、

告王曰、耶和華云、爾遣人詢以革倫之上帝巴力西卜、在以色列中、豈無上帝、可以諮諏、故爾寢於床、不得再下、至於死亡。

謂王曰、主如是云、爾遣人問以革倫之神巴力西卜、以色列中豈無天主可問其言乎、故爾寢於床、不得再下、爾必死矣、

He told the king,“ This is what the Lord says: Is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!”

Elijah told the king,“ The Lord says,‘ You have sent messengers to ask Baal- Zebub for advice. He is the god of Ekron. Did you go there to pray to that god for advice? Do you think there is no God in Israel? You will never leave the bed you are lying on. You can be sure that you will die!’ ”

and said to him,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron— is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word?— therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’”

Then Elijah said to King Ahaziah,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron— is it because there is no God in Israel for you to inquire of his will?— you will not get up from your sickbed; you will certainly die.’”

Then he said to him,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Since you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal zebub, the god of Ekron— is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of His word? Therefore you will not get down from the bed upon which you have lain, but you shall certainly die.’ ”

Then he said to him,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of His word? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’”

And he said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to inquire of Baal- zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down from the bed whither thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

Then Elijah said to King Ahaziah,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron— is it because there is no God in Israel for you to inquire of His will?— you will not get up from your sickbed; you will certainly die.’”

And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron,[ is it] not because[ there is] no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

Elijah said to the king,“ This is what the LORD says,‘ You sent messengers to seek an oracle from Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron. You must think there is no God in Israel from whom you can seek an oracle! Therefore you will not leave the bed you lie on, for you will certainly die.’”

He said to him,“ Yahweh says,‘ Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but you will surely die.’”

One day Israel’s new king, Ahaziah, fell through the latticework of an upper room at his palace in Samaria and was seriously injured. So he sent messengers to the temple of Baal zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether he would recover.But the angel of the Lord told Elijah, who was from Tishbe,“ Go and confront the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them,‘ Is there no God in Israel? Why are you going to Baal zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether the king will recover?Now, therefore, this is what the Lord says: You will never leave the bed you are lying on; you will surely die.’” So Elijah went to deliver the message.

So Gehazi set off after Naaman. When Naaman saw Gehazi running after him, he climbed down from his chariot and went to meet him.“ Is everything all right?” Naaman asked.

But Micaiah replied,“ If you return safely, it will mean that the Lord has not spoken through me!” Then he added to those standing around,“ Everyone mark my words!”

So when Ahijah heard her footsteps at the door, he called out,“ Come in, wife of Jeroboam! Why are you pretending to be someone else?” Then he told her,“ I have bad news for you.Give your husband, Jeroboam, this message from the Lord, the God of Israel:‘ I promoted you from the ranks of the common people and made you ruler over my people Israel.I ripped the kingdom away from the family of David and gave it to you. But you have not been like my servant David, who obeyed my commands and followed me with all his heart and always did whatever I wanted.You have done more evil than all who lived before you. You have made other gods for yourself and have made me furious with your gold calves. And since you have turned your back on me,I will bring disaster on your dynasty and will destroy every one of your male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel. I will burn up your royal dynasty as one burns up trash until it is all gone.The members of Jeroboam’s family who die in the city will be eaten by dogs, and those who die in the field will be eaten by vultures. I, the Lord, have spoken.’”Then Ahijah said to Jeroboam’s wife,“ Go on home, and when you enter the city, the child will die.All Israel will mourn for him and bury him. He is the only member of your family who will have a proper burial, for this child is the only good thing that the Lord, the God of Israel, sees in the entire family of Jeroboam.

Then you will tell him,‘ This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son.I commanded you,“ Let my son go, so he can worship me.” But since you have refused, I will now kill your firstborn son!’”

“ Go down to meet King Ahab of Israel, who rules in Samaria. He will be at Naboth’s vineyard in Jezreel, claiming it for himself.Give him this message:‘ This is what the Lord says: Wasn’t it enough that you killed Naboth? Must you rob him, too? Because you have done this, dogs will lick your blood at the very place where they licked the blood of Naboth!’”“ So, my enemy, you have found me!” Ahab exclaimed to Elijah.“ Yes,” Elijah answered,“ I have come because you have sold yourself to what is evil in the Lord’s sight.So now the Lord says,‘ I will bring disaster on you and consume you. I will destroy every one of your male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel!I am going to destroy your family as I did the family of Jeroboam son of Nebat and the family of Baasha son of Ahijah, for you have made me very angry and have led Israel into sin.’“ And regarding Jezebel, the Lord says,‘ Dogs will eat Jezebel’s body at the plot of land in Jezreel.’“ The members of Ahab’s family who die in the city will be eaten by dogs, and those who die in the field will be eaten by vultures.”

“ I will not go home; I will not let myself rest.

They replied,“ A man came up to us and told us to go back to the king and give him this message.‘ This is what the Lord says: Is there no God in Israel? Why are you sending men to Baal zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether you will recover? Therefore, because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on; you will surely die.’”
