王再次派一个五十夫长和他的五十名手下到以利亚那里去。那五十夫长对以利亚说：“神人哪！王这样吩咐：‘你赶快下来。’”

At this the king sent to Elijah another captain with his fifty men. The captain said to him,“ Man of God, this is what the king says,‘ Come down at once!’”

After that happened, the king sent another captain to Elijah. The captain had his 50 men with him. He said to Elijah,“ Man of God, the king says,‘ Come down at once!’ ”

Again the king sent to him another captain of fifty men with his fifty. And he answered and said to him,“ O man of God, this is the king’s order,‘ Come down quickly!’”

So the king sent another captain with fifty men. The captain said to him,“ Man of God, the king demands that you come down at once.”

So the king sent another captain with his fifty men to Elijah. He took in the situation and announced,“ Man of God, this is what the king says:‘ Come down immediately!’”

So the king again sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty men. And he said to him,“ You man of God, this is what the king says:‘ Come down quickly!’ ”

Then he sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty men. And he answered and said to him:“ Man of God, thus has the king said,‘ Come down quickly!’”

And again he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.

So the king sent another captain of 50 with his 50 men to Elijah. He took in the situation and announced,“ Man of God, this is what the king says:‘ Come down immediately!’”

Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.

The king sent another captain and his fifty soldiers to retrieve Elijah. He went up and told him,“ Prophet, this is what the king says,‘ Come down at once!’”

Again he sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty. He answered him,“ Man of God, the king has said,‘ Come down quickly!’”

你们要观察：如果约柜往自己的地界伯示麦方向去，那么就是耶和华对我们降下了这大灾祸；如果不是这样，我们就知道：不是耶和华的手击打我们，而是偶然发生在我们身上的。”

至于卑劣人，他的手段邪恶，他图谋恶计，即使贫穷人讲求公正，他还是用谎言毁灭困苦人。

王就对他身旁侍立的护卫兵说：“你们过去斩杀耶和华的祭司们，因为他们也与大卫联手，他们知道大卫逃走，却不告诉我。”但王的臣仆们不愿意伸手杀害耶和华的祭司。于是王对多益说：“你过去击杀祭司们。”以东人多益就过去击杀那些祭司。那天他杀了八十五个佩戴细麻布以弗得的人，并且把祭司城挪伯中无论男女、幼童婴儿都用刀剑击杀了，把牛、驴、羊，也用刀剑击杀了。

他们回答：“拿撒勒人耶稣。”耶稣说：“我就是。”出卖他的犹大也与他们站在一起。耶稣一说“我就是”，他们就往后退，倒在地上。于是耶稣又问：“你们找谁？”他们说：“拿撒勒人耶稣。”耶稣回答：“我已经告诉你们‘我就是’。因此，你们如果找我，就让这些人走吧！”这是为要应验耶稣说过的话：“你所赐给我的人，我一个也没有丢失。”西门彼得带着一把刀。他拔出刀来，向大祭司的奴仆砍去，削掉了他的右耳。那奴仆的名字是马勒古。耶稣就对彼得说：“把刀收回鞘里！父所赐给我的杯，我难道能不喝吗？”于是那队士兵和千夫长，以及犹太人的差役们，抓住耶稣，把他捆绑起来，

说：“我们该怎么处理这些人呢？藉着他们，确实发生了一个明显的神迹，所有住在耶路撒冷的人都清清楚楚；我们也不能否认。不过为了避免这事在民间传扬更广，让我们威吓他们，不可再奉耶稣的名对任何人讲话。”

耶和华啊，你的手高举，他们却不看！愿他们看到你对子民的热心就蒙羞；愿你为敌人所预备的烈火吞噬他们！

看守耶稣的人戏弄他、殴打他，又蒙住他的眼睛问他，说：“你说预言吧！打你的是谁？”

希律发现自己受了博士们的愚弄，就十分恼怒。于是，他按照从博士们那里所询问到的时间，派人把伯利恒城里和周围各个地区内两岁以下的男孩，全都杀了。

如果管辖者听信虚假的话语，所有事奉他的人都会是恶人。
