At this the king sent to Elijah another captain with his fifty men. The captain said to him,“ Man of God, this is what the king says,‘ Come down at once!’”

After that happened, the king sent another captain to Elijah. The captain had his 50 men with him. He said to Elijah,“ Man of God, the king says,‘ Come down at once!’ ”

Again the king sent to him another captain of fifty men with his fifty. And he answered and said to him,“ O man of God, this is the king’s order,‘ Come down quickly!’”

So the king sent another captain with fifty men. The captain said to him,“ Man of God, the king demands that you come down at once.”

So the king sent another captain with his fifty men to Elijah. He took in the situation and announced,“ Man of God, this is what the king says:‘ Come down immediately!’”

So the king again sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty men. And he said to him,“ You man of God, this is what the king says:‘ Come down quickly!’ ”

Then he sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty men. And he answered and said to him:“ Man of God, thus has the king said,‘ Come down quickly!’”

And again he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.

So the king sent another captain of 50 with his 50 men to Elijah. He took in the situation and announced,“ Man of God, this is what the king says:‘ Come down immediately!’”

Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.

The king sent another captain and his fifty soldiers to retrieve Elijah. He went up and told him,“ Prophet, this is what the king says,‘ Come down at once!’”

Again he sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty. He answered him,“ Man of God, the king has said,‘ Come down quickly!’”

你们要留意看，如果它是走向自己的境界，往伯．示麦去，那么就是耶和华降这大灾给我们；如果不是这样，我们就知道，不是他的手攻击我们，我们遭遇的不过是偶然的事。”

耶和华啊！你的眼目不是要看诚实的事吗？你击打他们，他们却不觉得伤痛；你摧毁他们，他们仍不肯接受管教。他们板着脸，脸皮比磐石还硬，总不肯回转。

至于恶棍，他的手段是邪恶的，他图谋恶计，用虚假的言语毁灭困苦的人，即使在穷乏人讲公理的时候，他也是这样。

王就对侍立在他周围的卫兵说：“你们转过去，把耶和华的祭司杀死，因为他们与大卫携手，又因为他们知道大卫逃跑，也不告诉我。”但王的臣仆不愿下手杀害耶和华的祭司。于是王对多益说：“你转过去把祭司击杀。”以东人多益就转过去把祭司击杀了。那一天，他杀了八十五个穿细麻布以弗得的人，又用刀击杀了祭司城挪伯，无论男女，孩童或吃奶的婴儿，牛驴或羊，都用刀杀尽。

他们回答：“拿撒勒人耶稣！”耶稣说：“我就是。”出卖耶稣的犹大和他们站在那里。耶稣一说“我就是”，他们就往后退，倒在地上。他再问他们：“你们找谁？”他们说：“拿撒勒人耶稣！”耶稣回答：“我已经告诉你们，我就是了。如果你们来找我，就让这些人走吧。”这应验了耶稣说过的话：“你赐给我的人，我一个也没有失落。”西门．彼得带着一把刀，就拔出来，向大祭司的仆人马勒古砍去，削掉他的右耳。耶稣对彼得说：“把刀收入鞘里去！父给我的杯，我怎能不喝呢？”于是那一队兵和千夫长，以及犹太人的差役拿住耶稣，把他绑起来，

第二天，以色列全体会众都向摩西和亚伦发怨言，说：“你们害死了耶和华的子民。”

：“对这些人我们应该怎么办呢？因为有一件人所共知的神迹，藉着他们行了出来，所有住在耶路撒冷的人都知道，我们也无法否认。为了避免这件事在民间越传越广，我们应该警告他们，不许再奉这名向任何人谈道。”

耶和华啊！你的手高举，他们还是看不见。愿他们因看见你对子民的热心而惭愧；愿那为你的敌人预备的火吞灭他们。

看管耶稣的人戏弄他，打他，蒙住他的眼睛问他：“你说预言吧，说打你的是谁。”

希律见自己被星象家愚弄了，就大怒，于是照着他从星象家所问得的日子，下令把伯利恒和附近地方，两岁及以下的小孩全都杀死。

如果掌权者听信谎言，他所有的臣仆必都是坏人。
