This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

人有恆產、見兄弟匱乏、而不開誠施與、烏能愛上帝哉、

兄弟乎、人言信主而不行善、何益之有、第信不行、豈能得救乎、兄弟姊妹、衣食匱乏、而爾曰、安然以往、願爾得溫飽、如不以彼所需賜之、何益之有、

我得諸物有餘、以巴弗提以爾馨香可納之胙、上帝所悅者惠我、我受之甚饒、吾之上帝因耶穌基督、將以其富有、暢爾所欲、

我謝上帝、祈禱間、常緬懷爾、蓋聞爾信主耶穌、愛諸聖徒、望爾與眾、共信主而務力行、使人知爾所為百善、歸榮於基督耶穌、兄弟懷仁、安聖徒心、使我欣喜慰藉、

殷勤求我、納其所捐者、即施濟聖徒之金、

以巴弗提與我同勞共伍、為我良朋、亦為爾之使、以供我所需、我意當遣之、

言及施濟聖徒、余毋庸丁寧、

乃欲其均、今爾以有餘、補彼不足、則後彼亦以有餘、補爾不足、是之謂均、經云、所入多者無餘、寡者無乏、

爾曹以祈禱助我、故多人為我祈而得恩、亦為我而謝恩、
