For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,

因为办这供给的事，不但补圣徒的缺乏，而且叫许多人越发感谢神。

蓋此供事之役、不第補聖徒之空乏、且因感謝之多、而得充裕也、

是施濟之職、不第補聖徒不足、益令人徧謝上帝、

蓋此施濟之事、不但補聖徒之不足、亦使多人感謝天主、

是則此項善舉不僅補聖徒之不足、抑且使眾心感謝天主、於以增益天主之光榮。

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

Your gifts meet the needs of the Lord’s people. And that’s not all. Your gifts also cause many people to thank God.

For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.

So two good things will result from this ministry of giving— the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.

But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,and one of you says to them,“ Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers,hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, but your messenger and the one who ministered to my need;

Now concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you;

but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack— that there may be equality.As it is written,“ He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”

you also helping together in prayer for us, that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the gift granted to us through many.
