是施濟之職、不第補聖徒不足、益令人徧謝上帝、

是則此項善舉不僅補聖徒之不足、抑且使眾心感謝天主、於以增益天主之光榮。

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

Your gifts meet the needs of the Lord’s people. And that’s not all. Your gifts also cause many people to thank God.

For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.

So two good things will result from this ministry of giving— the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.

人若有世之貲財、見兄弟窮乏而不矜恤施與、焉得謂之存愛天主之心乎、焉得謂之存愛天主之心乎原文作則天主之愛豈存於其內乎○

我已得諸物有餘、且自以巴弗第多手、受爾之惠、為馨香可納之祭、天主所悅者、故我饒足也、我天主因基督耶穌、將循其榮之富有、補爾凡所需者、

我每祈禱時、常思念爾、感謝我天主、因聞爾向主耶穌及諸聖徒、有愛有信、願爾之信、與眾徒共有者、得有功效、得有功效或作可以力行使人知爾曹諸善、乃為耶穌基督而行、兄弟乎、我因爾之愛、大有喜樂、並覺慰藉、蓋聖徒之心、由爾而得安舒、

彼殷勤求我與之共事、納其所捐之貲、以濟聖徒、

弟以巴弗第多、與我同勞同戰、亦為爾使、供我之所需、我思亦必遣之就爾、

論及周濟聖徒之事、我無庸書以囑爾、

後則彼以其有餘、補爾之不足、此即均平矣、如經載云、多收者無餘、少收者無缺、○

爾曹以祈禱助我、我因多人祈禱得恩、亦有多人為我感謝、
