關於供給聖徒的事，我本來不必寫信給你們；

關於捐助聖徒的事，其實我不必再寫信提醒你們，

關於供應聖徒的事，我本來沒有寫信給你們的必要，

論到供應聖徒的事、寫信給你們、於我是多餘的。

關於服事聖徒的事，其實我不必給你們寫什麼，

論供事聖徒、毋庸書以遺爾、

言及施濟聖徒、余毋庸丁寧、

論及周濟聖徒之事、我無庸書以囑爾、

其實關於周濟聖徒之事、應無須吾之喋喋也。

For it is not necessary for me to write you about this service to the saints,

It is indeed unnecessary for me to write to you concerning the service to the saints,

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men,and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you.

But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;and indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more;

imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.So we urged Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also complete this grace in you as well.But as you abound in everything— in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us— see that you abound in this grace also.I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others.For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago;but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened;but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack— that there may be equality.As it is written,“ He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.

But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying,

Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.
