But since you excel in everything— in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you— see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

爾於凡事、若信、若言、若知識、若慇懃、以及向我之愛既溢、則於此惠亦宜如是、

爾於信主、傳道、智慧、殷勤、愛我、既勉行之、則捐金之事、亦宜勉行、

爾既豐於諸事、即於信、於言、於知識、於諸殷勤、於愛我、亦當豐於施舍、

爾等既富於信德、口才、智慧、熱心、及友愛矣、則於慈善之美德、寧可後人耶？

You do well in everything else. You do well in faith and in speaking. You do well in knowledge and in complete commitment. And you do well in the love we have helped to start in you. So make sure that you also do well in the grace of giving to others.

But as you excel in everything— in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you— see that you excel in this act of grace also.

Since you excel in so many ways— in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us— I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving.

Now as you excel in everything— in faith, speech, knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love for us— excel also in this act of grace.

But just as you excel in everything, in faith, speaking, knowledge, and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you also excel in this gracious work.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that“ We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up.Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know.

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.

For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body— whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free— and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

For in him you have been enriched in every way— with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge—

For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

So we urged Titus, just as he had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.

You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ— to the glory and praise of God.

I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church.

And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.

Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other.And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more,

You say,‘ I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,
