begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints—

他们恳切地求我们准许他们与有需要的圣徒分享上帝的恩典。

用许多乞求的话，恳请我们在对圣徒的服事上给与他们恩准和分享的机会；

再三地求我們，准他們在這供給聖徒的恩情上有分；

再三懇求我們，准他們在這供給聖徒的善事上有份；

再三懇求我們，准他們在這供給聖徒的善事上有份；

他們懇切地求我們准許他們與有需要的聖徒分享上帝的恩典。

再三懇求我們，准許他們在供應聖徒的事上有分。

以再三再四的懇請求我們、讓他們將恩惠和團契捐去供應聖徒的需要。

用許多乞求的話，懇請我們在對聖徒的服事上給與他們恩准和分享的機會；

懇求我儕、俾與於供事聖徒之恩、

殷勤求我、納其所捐者、即施濟聖徒之金、

彼殷勤求我與之共事、納其所捐之貲、以濟聖徒、

彼等且再三懇求吾儕、准其同享賑濟聖徒之特恩；

they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people.

they begged us for the chance to share in serving the Lord’s people in that way.

They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem.

they begged us earnestly for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints,

begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints,

imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

beseeching us with much entreaty in regard of this grace and the fellowship in the ministering to the saints:

they begged us insistently for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints,

Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and[ take upon us] the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping the saints.

begging us with much entreaty to receive this grace and the fellowship in the service to the saints.

Now after several years I came to bring alms to my nation and to present offerings.

And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem.If it seems advisable that I should go also, they will accompany me.

Now it is superfluous for me to write to you about the ministry for the saints,

At present, however, I am going to Jerusalem bringing aid to the saints.For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make some contribution for the poor among the saints at Jerusalem.

For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good for them. But you will not always have me.

Then he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and he came and stood before him. And he said,“ Behold, I know that there is no God in all the earth but in Israel; so accept now a present from your servant.”But he said,“ As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution.And the twelve summoned the full number of the disciples and said,“ It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables.Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty.But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”And what they said pleased the whole gathering, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch.These they set before the apostles, and they prayed and laid their hands on them.And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith.

Only, they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.

Now I urge you, brothers— you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—

And the King will answer them,‘ Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them.But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said,“ Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then, calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Jacob said,“ No, please, if I have found favor in your sight, then accept my present from my hand. For I have seen your face, which is like seeing the face of God, and you have accepted me.Please accept my blessing that is brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough.” Thus he urged him, and he took it.

Then they also will answer, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’Then he will answer them, saying,‘ Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’

because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints,and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.

For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.

and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought up children, has shown hospitality, has washed the feet of the saints, has cared for the afflicted, and has devoted herself to every good work.

For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others,while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

With him we are sending the brother who is famous among all the churches for his preaching of the gospel.And not only that, but he has been appointed by the churches to travel with us as we carry out this act of grace that is being ministered by us, for the glory of the Lord himself and to show our good will.

So the disciples determined, everyone according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.

And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother,“ Woman, behold, your son!”Then he said to the disciple,“ Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do.

And after she was baptized, and her household as well, she urged us, saying,“ If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” And she prevailed upon us.
