they begged us earnestly for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints,

他們懇切地求我們准許他們與有需要的聖徒分享上帝的恩典。

再三懇求我們，准許他們在供應聖徒的事上有分。

以再三再四的懇請求我們、讓他們將恩惠和團契捐去供應聖徒的需要。

用許多乞求的話，懇請我們在對聖徒的服事上給與他們恩准和分享的機會；

懇求我儕、俾與於供事聖徒之恩、

殷勤求我、納其所捐者、即施濟聖徒之金、

彼殷勤求我與之共事、納其所捐之貲、以濟聖徒、

彼等且再三懇求吾儕、准其同享賑濟聖徒之特恩；

they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people.

they begged us for the chance to share in serving the Lord’s people in that way.

begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints—

They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem.

begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints,

imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

beseeching us with much entreaty in regard of this grace and the fellowship in the ministering to the saints:

they begged us insistently for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints,

Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and[ take upon us] the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping the saints.

begging us with much entreaty to receive this grace and the fellowship in the service to the saints.

After many years, I came to bring charitable gifts and offerings to my people.

When I arrive, I will send with letters those you recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem.If it is suitable for me to go as well, they will travel with me.

Now concerning the ministry to the saints, it is unnecessary for me to write to you.

Right now I am traveling to Jerusalem to serve the saints,because Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

You always have the poor with you, and you can do what is good for them whenever you want, but you do not always have me.

Then Naaman and his whole company went back to the man of God, stood before him, and declared,“ I know there’s no God in the whole world except in Israel. Therefore, please accept a gift from your servant.”But Elisha said,“ As the LORD lives, in whose presence I stand, I will not accept it.” Naaman urged him to accept it, but he refused.

In those days, as the disciples were increasing in number, there arose a complaint by the Hellenistic Jews against the Hebraic Jews that their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution.The Twelve summoned the whole company of the disciples and said,“ It would not be right for us to give up preaching the word of God to wait on tables.Brothers and sisters, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and wisdom, whom we can appoint to this duty.But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”This proposal pleased the whole company. So they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a convert from Antioch.They had them stand before the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.So the word of God spread, the disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly in number, and a large group of priests became obedient to the faith.

They asked only that we would remember the poor, which I had made every effort to do.

Brothers and sisters, you know the household of Stephanas: They are the firstfruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to serving the saints. I urge you

“ And the King will answer them,‘ Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they led him to the room upstairs. And all the widows approached him, weeping and showing him the robes and clothes that Dorcas had made while she was with them.Peter sent them all out of the room. He knelt down, prayed, and turning toward the body said,“ Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up.He gave her his hand and helped her stand up. He called the saints and widows and presented her alive.

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

But Jacob said,“ No, please! If I have found favor with you, take this gift from me. For indeed, I have seen your face, and it is like seeing God’s face, since you have accepted me.Please take my present that was brought to you, because God has been gracious to me and I have everything I need.” So Jacob urged him until he accepted.

“ Then they too will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or without clothes, or sick, or in prison, and not help you?’“ Then he will answer them,‘ Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

because I hear of your love for all the saints and the faith that you have in the Lord Jesus.I pray that your participation in the faith may become effective through knowing every good thing that is in us for the glory of Christ.

For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints— and by continuing to serve them.

and is well known for good works— that is, if she has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the saints’ feet, helped the afflicted, and devoted herself to every good work.

For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone.And as they pray on your behalf, they will have deep affection for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

Pray that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea, that my ministry to Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

We have sent with him the brother who is praised among all the churches for his gospel ministry.And not only that, but he was also appointed by the churches to accompany us with this gracious gift that we are administering for the glory of the Lord himself and to show our eagerness to help.

Each of the disciples, according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brothers and sisters who lived in Judea.

And whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.”

When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple he loved standing there, he said to his mother,“ Woman, here is your son.”Then he said to the disciple,“ Here is your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

Now about the collection for the saints: Do the same as I instructed the Galatian churches.

After she and her household were baptized, she urged us,“ If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.
