For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford, but far more. And they did it of their own free will.

So the people of Israel— every man and woman who was eager to help in the work the Lord had given them through Moses— brought their gifts and gave them freely to the Lord.

But I didn’t want to do anything without your consent. I wanted you to help because you were willing, not because you were forced.

and for the other gold and silver work to be done by the craftsmen. Now then, who will follow my example and give offerings to the Lord today?”Then the family leaders, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the generals and captains of the army, and the king’s administrative officers all gave willingly.

The people rejoiced over the offerings, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord, and King David was filled with joy.

On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don’t wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once.

All whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their sacred offerings to the Lord. They brought all the materials needed for the Tabernacle, for the performance of its rituals, and for the sacred garments.Both men and women came, all whose hearts were willing. They brought to the Lord their offerings of gold— brooches, earrings, rings from their fingers, and necklaces. They presented gold objects of every kind as a special offering to the Lord.

Take a sacred offering for the Lord. Let those with generous hearts present the following gifts to the Lord: gold, silver, and bronze;

If I were doing this on my own initiative, I would deserve payment. But I have no choice, for God has given me this sacred trust.

I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal.

We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.

So the believers in Antioch decided to send relief to the brothers and sisters in Judea, everyone giving as much as they could.

Now you should finish what you started. Let the eagerness you showed in the beginning be matched now by your giving. Give in proportion to what you have.Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.

But thank God! He has given Titus the same enthusiasm for you that I have.Titus welcomed our request that he visit you again. In fact, he himself was very eager to go and see you.

Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly— not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.

Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

When you go to war, your people will serve you willingly. You are arrayed in holy garments, and your strength will be renewed each day like the morning dew.
