耶穌舉目、見諸富者以所捐者輸庫、又見一貧嫠、輸小錢二、則曰、我誠語汝、此貧嫠所輸者較眾尤多也、蓋眾由其羨餘、此則由其不足、即其所以養生者、盡輸之也、○

夫我所以誇者、乃良心作證、非恃形軀之智、惟恃上帝之恩、以上帝所賦之聖與誠、為人於世、於爾曹為尤甚、

且爾效我儕、亦效主、於多難中、以聖神之樂而受道、

俾爾凡事富有、得以博施、致人由我儕而謝上帝、

似憂而常樂、似貧而富眾、似無有而無不有、○

俾無人為諸苦所搖、蓋爾自知分定於此也、我偕爾時、預告我儕將受難、後果如是、爾所知也、

又曰、往哉、食肥飲甘、無者頒之、此乃我主之聖日、毋憂戚、因耶和華而樂、是為爾之能力、利未人肅眾曰、今乃聖日、當靜默、毋憂戚、民往飲食、亦頒餚饌、懽然喜樂、因明所宣之言也、○

兄弟乎、爾嘗效在猶太屬基督耶穌之上帝會、以爾受苦於同族、猶彼於猶太人也、

有貧嫠至、輸錢二、即一釐也、遂召其徒、謂之曰、我誠語汝、此貧嫠所輸者、較眾尤多、蓋眾由其羨餘、彼則由其不足而盡輸所有、即其所藉以生者也、
