What is more, he was chosen by the churches to accompany us as we carry the offering, which we administer in order to honor the Lord himself and to show our eagerness to help.

当时，使徒们、长老们和全教会都认为应该从他们当中拣选几个人，派他们与保罗和巴拿巴一起到安提阿去。被选的是那称为巴撒巴的犹大和赛拉斯，这两个人在弟兄中是领头的。

因为这服事的工作，不仅补足了圣徒们的缺乏，并且能藉着对神的许多感谢而充实满溢。他们藉着这次服事的凭证，因你们顺服了那为基督福音所做的告白，也因你们给他们和众人的慷慨分享，他们就会荣耀神；并且他们因着神赐给你们这无限的恩典，就切切地想念你们，为你们祈祷。

神能使一切的恩典丰丰富富地临到你们，使你们总是在一切事上都能知足，在一切美善的工作上充实满溢。

弟兄们，我们要你们明白神在马其顿省各教会中所赐的恩典：在患难的极大考验中，他们的喜乐之满和贫穷之深都流露出来，归入他们慷慨之心的财富。因为我可以见证他们是按着自己的能力，甚至超过了自己的能力，甘心乐意，用许多乞求的话，恳请我们在对圣徒的服事上给与他们恩准和分享的机会；

我们已达成了一致，认为应该拣选几个人，派他们与我们亲爱的巴拿巴和保罗一起到你们那里去。

每个人要照着自己所领受的恩赐来彼此服事，做神各种恩典的好管家。如果有人讲说，要照着神的话语讲说；如果有人服事，要照着神所赐的力量服事，好让神在一切事上藉着耶稣基督得荣耀。愿荣耀和权能都归于他，直到永永远远！阿们。

我们于是劝提多，他怎样开始了这恩惠之事，就当照样在你们那里把它完成；而且你们怎样在信仰、言语、知识、殷勤和你们对我们的爱心上都丰足有余，你们也当怎样在这恩惠之事上丰足有余。

所以弟兄们，要从你们当中挑选七个有好名声、充满圣灵和智慧的人；我们就委任他们统管这事务。这样，我们将可专心于祷告和福音的服事工作。”这话使全体会众都喜悦，于是选出了司提反——他是一个充满信仰和圣灵的人，还有腓利、普罗克罗、尼卡诺、提门、帕米纳，以及入犹太教的安提阿人尼古拉斯。他们请这些人站在使徒们面前，使徒们就祷告，按手在他们身上。
