Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.

因为人若有愿做的心，必蒙悦纳，乃是照他所有的，并不是照他所无的。

For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

Do you really want to give? Then the gift is measured by what someone has. It is not measured by what they don’t have.

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins.Jesus called his disciples to him and said,“ I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions.For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.”

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure.“ For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

While Jesus was in the Temple, he watched the rich people dropping their gifts in the collection box.Then a poor widow came by and dropped in two small coins.“ I tell you the truth,” Jesus said,“ this poor widow has given more than all the rest of them.For they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has.”

“ Tell the people of Israel to bring me their sacred offerings. Accept the contributions from all whose hearts are moved to offer them.

Take a sacred offering for the Lord. Let those with generous hearts present the following gifts to the Lord: gold, silver, and bronze;

“ If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.

So the people of Israel— every man and woman who was eager to help in the work the Lord had given them through Moses— brought their gifts and gave them freely to the Lord.

All whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their sacred offerings to the Lord. They brought all the materials needed for the Tabernacle, for the performance of its rituals, and for the sacred garments.Both men and women came, all whose hearts were willing. They brought to the Lord their offerings of gold— brooches, earrings, rings from their fingers, and necklaces. They presented gold objects of every kind as a special offering to the Lord.

“ And a servant who knows what the master wants, but isn’t prepared and doesn’t carry out those instructions, will be severely punished.But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.

Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon,“ Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn’t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair.You didn’t greet me with a kiss, but from the time I first came in, she has not stopped kissing my feet.You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume.

You will always have the poor among you, and you can help them whenever you want to. But you will not always have me.She has done what she could and has anointed my body for burial ahead of time.

Loyalty makes a person attractive. It is better to be poor than dishonest.

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

But the Lord told him,‘ You wanted to build the Temple to honor my name. Your intention is good,

“ And now, because of my devotion to the Temple of my God, I am giving all of my own private treasures of gold and silver to help in the construction. This is in addition to the building materials I have already collected for his holy Temple.I am donating more than 112 tons of gold from Ophir and 262 tons of refined silver to be used for overlaying the walls of the buildingsand for the other gold and silver work to be done by the craftsmen. Now then, who will follow my example and give offerings to the Lord today?”Then the family leaders, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the generals and captains of the army, and the king’s administrative officers all gave willingly.For the construction of the Temple of God, they gave about 188 tons of gold, 10,000 gold coins, 375 tons of silver, 675 tons of bronze, and 3,750 tons of iron.They also contributed numerous precious stones, which were deposited in the treasury of the house of the Lord under the care of Jehiel, a descendant of Gershon.The people rejoiced over the offerings, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord, and King David was filled with joy.Then David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly:“ O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may you be praised forever and ever!Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.“ O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace.“ O Lord our God, even this material we have gathered to build a Temple to honor your holy name comes from you! It all belongs to you!I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously.“ O Lord, the God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, make your people always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes.
