Who is caused to stumble, and I don’t burn with indignation?If I must boast, I will boast of the things that concern my weakness.

‘ You said,“ Woe is me now! For Yahweh has added sorrow to my pain! I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest.”’

For to this end I also wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you are obedient in all things.

I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

The peoples will be like the burning of lime, like thorns that are cut down and burned in the fire.

For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.

I am afraid for you, that I might have wasted my labor for you.

Don’t go out into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and terror are on every side.

Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the“ Yes, yes” and the“ No, no?”

My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ is formed in you—but I could wish to be present with you now, and to change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.

but the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned into the ship to him, for the waters were on the surface of the whole earth. He put out his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ship.

After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.

Terrors will make him afraid on every side, and will chase him at his heels.

Oh that I could comfort myself against sorrow! My heart is faint within me.

For I am afraid that by any means, when I come, I might find you not the way I want to, and that I might be found by you as you don’t desire, that by any means there would be strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, whisperings, proud thoughts, or riots,that again when I come my God would humble me before you, and I would mourn for many of those who have sinned before now, and not repented of the uncleanness, sexual immorality, and lustfulness which they committed.
