吾對爾等、知無不言、言無不盡。蓋吾於爾等實堪自矜、因而吾儕神慰充沛、雖在患難、心中自有至樂。

I have spoken to you with great frankness; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.

I have spoken to you very honestly. I am very proud of you. I am very happy. Even with all our troubles, my joy has no limit.

I am acting with great boldness toward you; I have great pride in you; I am filled with comfort. In all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy.

I have the highest confidence in you, and I take great pride in you. You have greatly encouraged me and made me happy despite all our troubles.

who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church;

Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all:

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are not even ye, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?

according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.

Now I Paul myself entreat you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who in your presence am lowly among you, but being absent am of good courage toward you:yea, I beseech you, that I may not when present show courage with the confidence wherewith I count to be bold against some, who count of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

Show ye therefore unto them in the face of the churches the proof of your love, and of our glorying on your behalf.

Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations;

But thanks be unto God, who always leadeth us in triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest through us the savor of his knowledge in every place.

for I know your readiness, of which I glory on your behalf to them of Macedonia, that Achaia hath been prepared for a year past; and your zeal hath stirred up very many of them.But I have sent the brethren, that our glorying on your behalf may not be made void in this respect; that, even as I said, ye may be prepared:lest by any means, if there come with me any of Macedonia and find you unprepared, we( that we say not, ye) should be put to shame in this confidence.

as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.Our mouth is open unto you, O Corinthians, our heart is enlarged.

for this cause, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith:for now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.For what thanksgiving can we render again unto God for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

and on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as ye know, at Philippi, we waxed bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God in much conflict.

And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness;

I speak by way of disparagement, as though we had been weak. Yet whereinsoever any is bold( I speak in foolishness), I am bold also.

as also ye did acknowledge us in part, that we are your glorying, even as ye also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.

Nevertheless he that comforteth the lowly, even God, comforted us by the coming of Titus;and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort wherewith he was comforted in you, while he told us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced yet more.

They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the Name.

I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus;
