We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense.

We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don’t try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this.

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.

And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.

Do not snatch your word of truth from me, for your regulations are my only hope.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.

He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment.

And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose.

I had told him how proud I was of you— and you didn’t disappoint me. I have always told you the truth, and now my boasting to Titus has also proved true!

As surely as God is faithful, our word to you does not waver between“ Yes” and“ No.”For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between“ Yes” and“ No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate“ Yes,” he always does what he says.For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding“ Yes!” And through Christ, our“ Amen”( which means“ Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

She offers you long life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left.

He put on righteousness as his body armor and placed the helmet of salvation on his head. He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance and wrapped himself in a cloak of divine passion.

We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty powerthat raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Although he was crucified in weakness, he now lives by the power of God. We, too, are weak, just as Christ was, but when we deal with you we will be alive with him and will have God’s power.

The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord.

But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.

And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.

He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.

The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living.Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy.

Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him,

which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit.I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.

So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side!
