Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.Be not ye therefore partakers with them;For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light( for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),proving what is well- pleasing unto the Lord;and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;for the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of.But all things when they are reproved are made manifest by the light: for everything that is made manifest is light.Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.

But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:who in time past were no people, but now are the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest the whole fruit be forfeited, the seed which thou hast sown, and the increase of the vineyard.Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.Thou shalt not wear a mingled stuff, wool and linen together.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief:for ye are all sons of light, and sons of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness;so then let us not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that are drunken are drunken in the night.But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with two kinds of seed: neither shall there come upon thee a garment of two kinds of stuff mingled together.

Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?I hate them with perfect hatred: They are become mine enemies.

I have not sat with men of falsehood; Neither will I go in with dissemblers.I hate the assembly of evil- doers, And will not sit with the wicked.

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart;who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.But ye did not so learn Christ;

and when Jehovah thy God shall deliver them up before thee, and thou shalt smite them; then thou shalt utterly destroy them: thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them;neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

But mingled themselves with the nations, And learned their works,

Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of Jehovah which he loveth, and hath married the daughter of a foreign god.

Make no friendship with a man that is given to anger; And with a wrathful man thou shalt not go:

I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators;

that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as lights in the world,

The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy.But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, And of them that observe thy precepts.

that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous; And he that is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.

which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land through the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, through their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their filthiness:now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity for ever; that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil.

Now when these things were done, the princes drew near unto me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the peoples of the lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.

And they gave their hand that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their guilt.

A wife is bound for so long time as her husband liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is free to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

As for the saints that are in the earth, They are the excellent in whom is all my delight.

Gather not my soul with sinners, Nor my life with men of blood;In whose hands is wickedness, And their right hand is full of bribes.

And being let go, they came to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said unto them.

Riches and honor are with me; Yea, durable wealth and righteousness.My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; And my revenue than choice silver.

In those days also saw I the Jews that had married women of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:and their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews’ language, but according to the language of each people.And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons, or for yourselves.Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, and he was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did foreign women cause to sin.
