I am asking you to respond as if you were my own children. Open your hearts to us!

我與爾言、如與己子言然、爾亦當廣爾心以報我、

吾之於爾、猶親之於子；爾曷亦拓心開懷以報我之愛爾乎！

As a fair exchange— I speak as to my children— open wide your hearts also.

I speak to you as if you were my children. It is only fair that you open your hearts wide to us also.

In return( I speak as to children) widen your hearts also.

I speak as to my children; as a proper response, open your heart to us.

Now in the same way in exchange— I am speaking as to children— open wide your hearts to us, you as well.

Now in return for the same( I speak as to children), you also be open.

Now for a recompense in like kind( I speak as unto my children), be ye also enlarged.

I speak as to my children. As a proper response, you should also be open to us.

Now as a fair exchange– I speak as to my children– open wide your hearts to us also.

Now in return, I speak as to my children: you also open your hearts.

And you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children.

Afterward the disciples asked Jesus privately,“ Why couldn’t we cast out that demon?”“ You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them.“ I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain,‘ Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

When Elisha was in his last illness, King Jehoash of Israel visited him and wept over him.“ My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” he cried.Elisha told him,“ Get a bow and some arrows.” And the king did as he was told.Elisha told him,“ Put your hand on the bow,” and Elisha laid his own hands on the king’s hands.Then he commanded,“ Open that eastern window,” and he opened it. Then he said,“ Shoot!” So he shot an arrow. Elisha proclaimed,“ This is the Lord’s arrow, an arrow of victory over Aram, for you will completely conquer the Arameans at Aphek.”Then he said,“ Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground.” So the king picked them up and struck the ground three times.But the man of God was angry with him.“ You should have struck the ground five or six times!” he exclaimed.“ Then you would have beaten Aram until it was entirely destroyed. Now you will be victorious only three times.”

Dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to live as I do in freedom from these things, for I have become like you Gentiles— free from those laws. You did not mistreat me when I first preached to you.

And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

Then Jesus told them,“ A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.”And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them.And he was amazed at their unbelief. Then Jesus went from village to village, teaching the people.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (niv)

I am writing this not to shame you but to warn you as my dear children.Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. (niv)

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (niv)

And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,“ My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” (niv)

My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, (niv)

Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. (niv)

When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them,“ Do you believe that I am able to do this?”“ Yes, Lord,” they replied.Then he touched their eyes and said,“ According to your faith let it be done to you”; (niv)

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. (niv)
