吾之於爾、猶親之於子；爾曷亦拓心開懷以報我之愛爾乎！

As a fair exchange— I speak as to my children— open wide your hearts also.

I speak to you as if you were my children. It is only fair that you open your hearts wide to us also.

In return( I speak as to children) widen your hearts also.

I am asking you to respond as if you were my own children. Open your hearts to us!

I speak as to my children; as a proper response, open your heart to us.

Now in the same way in exchange— I am speaking as to children— open wide your hearts to us, you as well.

Now in return for the same( I speak as to children), you also be open.

And he took[ them]. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed[ it]: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria[ but] thrice.

Brethren, I beseech you, be as I[ am]; for I[ am] as ye[ are]: ye have not injured me at all.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed[ them].And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (niv)

I am writing this not to shame you but to warn you as my dear children.Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. (niv)

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (niv)

And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,“ My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” (niv)

My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, (niv)

Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. (niv)

When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them,“ Do you believe that I am able to do this?”“ Yes, Lord,” they replied.Then he touched their eyes and said,“ According to your faith let it be done to you”; (niv)

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. (niv)
