if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.

倘若穿上，被遇见的时候就不至于赤身了。

倘若脱下也不至于赤身了。

我们一旦穿上新衣，就不会赤身露体了。

如果穿上了，就不会赤身出现了。

如果真的穿上，我们将来被看见时，就不是赤身的。

儻得被之、不至裸裎也、

若衣被體既得其衣、體不復裸、

既得此衣、則不致於裸、

雅不欲赤身露體、而無所被服也。

because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.

Then we will not be naked.

if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked.

For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies.

since, when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.

since in fact after putting it on, we will not be found naked.

if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him,“ Where are you?”So he said,“ I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”And He said,“ Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

Now when Moses saw that the people were unrestrained( for Aaron had not restrained them, to their shame among their enemies),

“ Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
