Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

是吾儕基督使、上帝使我勸爾、吾代基督求爾、與上帝復親、

是以我為基督之使、如天主藉我而勸爾、我代基督、求爾與天主復和、

是則吾儕代表基督、而為天主之星使、不啻天主假吾儕之口而作勸勉焉。因此、吾儕代表基督、剴切求爾、速與天主重歡。

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

So we are Christ’s official messengers. It is as if God were making his appeal through us. Here is what Christ wants us to beg you to do. Come back to God!

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead,“ Come back to God!”

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf,“ Be reconciled to God.”

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech[ you] by us: we pray[ you] in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

And the master said to the slave,‘ Go out into the roads and the hedges and press upon them to come in, so that my house will be filled.

And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—

Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade people, but we are well known to God; and I hope that we are also well known in your consciences.

who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

“ The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; but the one who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

Hurl away from you all your offenses which you have committed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! For why should you die, house of Israel?For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord God.“ Therefore, repent and live!”

For the lips of a priest should maintain knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of armies.

Therefore, the one who rejects this is not rejecting man, but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.Let the wicked abandon his way, And the unrighteous person his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

“ Be reconciled with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you.

So Jesus said to them again,“ Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you,to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’

“ How long, you naive ones, will you love simplistic thinking? And how long will scoffers delight themselves in scoffing And fools hate knowledge?Turn to my rebuke, Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.Because I called and you refused, I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention;And you neglected all my advice And did not want my rebuke;I will also laugh at your disaster; I will mock when your dread comes,When your dread comes like a storm And your disaster comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently but will not find me,Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord.They did not accept my advice, They disdainfully rejected every rebuke from me.So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own schemes.For the faithlessness of the naive will kill them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them.But whoever listens to me will live securely And will be at ease from the dread of evil.”

A wicked messenger falls into adversity, But a faithful messenger brings healing.

Yet the Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place;

Yet the Lord warned Israel and Judah through all His prophets and every seer, saying,“ Turn back from your evil ways and keep My commandments and My statutes in accordance with all the Law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you through My servants the prophets.”

For I am not aware of anything against myself; however I am not vindicated by this, but the one who examines me is the Lord.Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of human hearts; and then praise will come to each person from God.

Behold, I belong to God, like you; I too have been formed out of the clay.

But Jeremiah said,“ They will not turn you over. Please obey the Lord in what I am saying to you, so that it may go well for you and you may live.

Give glory to the Lord your God Before He brings darkness And before your feet stumble On the mountains in the dark, And while you are hoping for light He makes it into gloom, And turns it into thick darkness.But if you do not listen to it, My soul will weep in secret for such pride; And my eyes will shed And stream down tears, Because the flock of the Lord has been taken captive.

“ If there is an interceding angel for him, One out of a thousand, To remind a person of what is right for him,

Yet I sent you all My servants the prophets again and again, saying,“ Oh, do not do this abominable thing which I hate.”

Or let him rely on My protection, Let him make peace with Me, Let him make peace with Me.”

And admonished them in order to turn them back to Your Law. Yet they acted arrogantly and did not listen to Your commandments but sinned against Your ordinances, Which, if a person follows them, then he will live by them. And they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck, and would not listen.
