Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf,“ Be reconciled to God.”

是吾儕基督使、上帝使我勸爾、吾代基督求爾、與上帝復親、

是以我為基督之使、如天主藉我而勸爾、我代基督、求爾與天主復和、

是則吾儕代表基督、而為天主之星使、不啻天主假吾儕之口而作勸勉焉。因此、吾儕代表基督、剴切求爾、速與天主重歡。

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

So we are Christ’s official messengers. It is as if God were making his appeal through us. Here is what Christ wants us to beg you to do. Come back to God!

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead,“ Come back to God!”

We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to speak as I should.

“ Then the master told the slave,‘ Go out into the highways and lanes and make them come in, so that my house may be filled.

Working together with Him, we also appeal to you,“ Don’t receive God’s grace in vain.”

Therefore, because we know the fear of the Lord, we seek to persuade people. We are completely open before God, and I hope we are completely open to your consciences as well.

He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit produces life.

Whoever listens to you listens to Me. Whoever rejects you rejects Me. And whoever rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

Throw off all the transgressions you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why should you die, house of Israel?For I take no pleasure in anyone’s death.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.“ So repent and live!

For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, because he is the messenger of the Lord of Hosts.

Therefore, the person who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who also gives you His Holy Spirit.

Seek the Lord while He may be found; call to Him while He is near.Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, so He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will freely forgive.

Come to terms with God and be at peace; in this way good will come to you.

Jesus said to them again,“ Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

I will rescue you from the people and from the Gentiles. I now send you to themto open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that by faith in Me they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified.’

“ How long, foolish ones, will you love ignorance? How long will you mockers enjoy mocking and you fools hate knowledge?If you respond to my warning, then I will pour out my spirit on you and teach you my words.Since I called out and you refused, extended my hand and no one paid attention,since you neglected all my counsel and did not accept my correction,I, in turn, will laugh at your calamity. I will mock when terror strikes you,when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when trouble and stress overcome you.Then they will call me, but I won’t answer; they will search for me, but won’t find me.Because they hated knowledge, didn’t choose to fear the Lord,were not interested in my counsel, and rejected all my correction,they will eat the fruit of their way and be glutted with their own schemes.For the turning away of the inexperienced will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.But whoever listens to me will live securely and be free from the fear of danger.”

A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a trustworthy courier brings healing.

But Yahweh, the God of their ancestors sent word against them by the hand of His messengers, sending them time and time again, for He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place.

Still, the Lord warned Israel and Judah through every prophet and every seer, saying,“ Turn from your evil ways and keep My commands and statutes according to all the law I commanded your ancestors and sent to you through My servants the prophets.”

For I am not conscious of anything against myself, but I am not justified by this. The One who evaluates me is the Lord.Therefore don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.

I am just like you before God; I was also pinched off from a piece of clay.

“ They will not hand you over,” Jeremiah replied.“ Obey the voice of the Lord in what I am telling you, so it may go well for you and you can live.

Give glory to the Lord your God before He brings darkness, before your feet stumble on the mountains at dusk. You wait for light, but He brings darkest gloom and makes thick darkness.But if you will not listen, my innermost being will weep in secret because of your pride. My eyes will overflow with tears, for the Lord’s flock has been taken captive.

If there is an angel on his side, one mediator out of a thousand, to tell a person what is right for him

So I sent you all My servants the prophets time and time again, saying: Don’t do this detestable thing that I hate.

Or let it take hold of My strength; let it make peace with Me— make peace with Me.

You warned them to turn back to Your law, but they acted arrogantly and would not obey Your commands. They sinned against Your ordinances, which a person will live by if he does them. They stubbornly resisted, stiffened their necks, and would not obey.
