不是我們愛神，而是神愛我們，差遣他的兒子為我們的罪作了贖罪祭，這就是愛了。

我塗抹了你的過犯，像密雲消散；我塗抹了你的罪惡，如薄雲滅沒，你當歸向我，因為我救贖了你。

因為神本性的一切豐盛，都有形有體地住在基督裡面，

敬虔的奧祕真偉大啊，這是眾人所公認的，就是：“他在肉身顯現，在聖靈裡稱義（“在聖靈裡稱義”或譯：“被聖靈稱義”），被天使看見；被傳於列國，被世人信服，被接到榮耀裡。”

但他們卻因著神的恩典，藉著在基督耶穌裡的救贖，就白白地稱義。神設立了耶穌為贖罪祭（“贖罪祭”直譯作“贖罪或使神息怒之法”），是憑著他的血，藉著人的信，為的是要顯明神的義；因為神用忍耐的心寬容了人從前所犯的罪，好在現今顯明他的義，使人知道他自己為義，又稱信耶穌的人為義。

“唯有我為自己的緣故，塗抹你的過犯，我也不再記念你的罪。

大衛也是這樣說，那不靠行為而蒙神算為義的人是有福的！“過犯得蒙赦免，罪惡得到遮蓋的人，是有福的；主不算為有罪的，這人是有福的。”

我的孩子們，我寫這些給你們，是要你們不犯罪。如果有人犯了罪，在父的面前我們有一位維護者，就是那義者耶穌基督。他為我們的罪作了贖罪祭，不僅為我們的罪，也為全人類的罪。

“必有童女懷孕生子，他的名要叫以馬內利。”以馬內利就是“神與我們同在”的意思。

你不信我是在父裡面，父是在我裡面嗎？我對你們說的話，不是憑著自己說的，而是住在我裡面的父作他自己的事。你們應當信我是在父裡面，父是在我裡面；不然，也要因我所作的而相信。

我在他們裡面，你在我裡面，使他們完完全全合而為一，讓世人知道你差了我來，並且知道你愛他們，好像愛我一樣。

過犯得蒙赦免，罪惡得到遮蓋的人，是有福的。（本節在《馬索拉文本》包括細字標題）心裡沒有詭詐，耶和華不算為有罪的，這人是有福的。

如果他們被捨棄，世人就可以與神復和；他們蒙接納，不就等於從死人中復活嗎？

到那日，你們就知道我是在我父裡面，你們是在我裡面，我也在你們裡面。
