For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

We must all stand in front of Christ to be judged. Each one of us will be judged for what we do while in our bodies. We’ll be judged for the good things and the bad things. Then each of us will receive what we are supposed to get.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free.

For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds.

“ Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds.

So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time— before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.

God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.

unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.

Don’t be misled— you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.He will judge everyone according to what they have done.He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness.There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil— for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good— for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.

But remember that they will have to face God, who stands ready to judge everyone, both the living and the dead.

Enoch, who lived in the seventh generation after Adam, prophesied about these people. He said,“ Listen! The Lord is coming with countless thousands of his holy onesto execute judgment on the people of the world. He will convict every person of all the ungodly things they have done and for all the insults that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

And he ordered us to preach everywhere and to testify that Jesus is the one appointed by God to be the judge of all— the living and the dead.

I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve.

Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice— the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do.

Tell all the nations,“ The Lord reigns!” The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. He will judge all peoples fairly.Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy! Let the trees of the forest sing for joybefore the Lord, for he is coming! He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with his truth.

Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires.Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

He repays people according to their deeds. He treats people as they deserve.

“ Therefore, I will judge each of you, O people of Israel, according to your actions, says the Sovereign Lord. Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you!

But the Lord reigns forever, executing judgment from his throne.He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness.

Our God approaches, and he is not silent. Fire devours everything in his way, and a great storm rages around him.He calls on the heavens above and earth below to witness the judgment of his people.“ Bring my faithful people to me— those who made a covenant with me by giving sacrifices.”Then let the heavens proclaim his justice, for God himself will be the judge. Interlude

before the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with fairness.

“ But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne.All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left.“ Then the King will say to those on his right,‘ Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’“ Then these righteous ones will reply,‘ Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing?When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’“ And the King will say,‘ I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’“ Then the King will turn to those on the left and say,‘ Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink.I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’“ Then they will reply,‘ Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’“ And he will answer,‘ I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’“ And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.”

Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned!But the wicked are doomed, for they will get exactly what they deserve.

And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide.I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death.And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.For the Scriptures say,“‘ As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,‘ every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’”Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.

then hear from heaven and judge between your servants— the accuser and the accused. Punish the guilty as they deserve. Acquit the innocent because of their innocence.

Those who fight against the Lord will be shattered. He thunders against them from heaven; the Lord judges throughout the earth. He gives power to his king; he increases the strength of his anointed one.”

Arise, O Lord, in anger! Stand up against the fury of my enemies! Wake up, my God, and bring justice!Gather the nations before you. Rule over them from on high.The Lord judges the nations. Declare me righteous, O Lord, for I am innocent, O Most High!

You say,“ I am allowed to do anything”— but not everything is good for you. And even though“ I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.You say,“ Food was made for the stomach, and the stomach for food.”( This is true, though someday God will do away with both of them.) But you can’t say that our bodies were made for sexual immorality. They were made for the Lord, and the Lord cares about our bodies.And God will raise us from the dead by his power, just as he raised our Lord from the dead.Don’t you realize that your bodies are actually parts of Christ? Should a man take his body, which is part of Christ, and join it to a prostitute? Never!And don’t you realize that if a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? For the Scriptures say,“ The two are united into one.”But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Because of the weakness of your human nature, I am using the illustration of slavery to help you understand all this. Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy.

Surely you wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Why, you would be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same! Surely you wouldn’t do that! Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?”

“ Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the Lord is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.

then hear from heaven where you live, and forgive. Give your people what their actions deserve, for you alone know each human heart.

I’m not saying this to condemn you. I said before that you are in our hearts, and we live or die together with you.
