吾人現世暫寓之逆旅、固有土崩瓦解之時。然吾人在天有一永久之安宅焉。此宅也、非人手所造、乃天主之所賜也。

親愛的，我們現在是上帝的兒女，將來如何還未顯明。我們所知道的是：基督顯現的時候，我們會像他，因為我們將見到他的本相。

我知道我的救贖主活着，末後他必站在塵土上。我這皮肉滅絕之後，我必在肉體之外得見上帝。

我認為趁我還在這帳棚的時候，應該激發你們的記憶，因為知道我脫離這帳棚的時候快到了，正如我們的主耶穌基督所指示我的。

我們有這寶貝放在瓦器裏，為要顯明這莫大的能力是出於上帝，不是出於我們。

但現在基督已經來到，作了已實現的美事的大祭司，經過那更大更全備的帳幕，不是人手所造，也不是屬於這世界的；

因為基督並沒有進了人手所造的聖所－這不過是真聖所的影像－而是進到天上，如今為我們出現在上帝面前。。

但是，不是屬靈的在先，而是屬血肉的在先，然後才是屬靈的。第一個人是出於地，是屬於塵土；第二個人是出於天。那屬塵土的怎樣，凡屬塵土的也都怎樣；屬天的怎樣，凡屬天的也都怎樣。

何況那些住在泥屋、根基在塵土裏、被蛀蟲所毀壞的人呢？

其實，我們在這帳篷裏的人勞苦嘆息，並不是願意脫下地上的帳篷，而是願意穿上天上的居所，好使這必死的被生命吞滅了。

好得到不朽壞、不玷污、不衰殘、為你們存留在天上的基業，

在我父的家裏有許多住處；若是沒有，我就早已告訴你們了。我去原是為你們預備地方去。我若去為你們預備了地方，就必再來接你們到我那裏去，我在哪裏，叫你們也在哪裏。

你必汗流滿面才有食物可吃，直到你歸了土地，因為你是從土地而出的。你本是塵土，仍要歸回塵土。」

既然這一切都要如此消失，你們處世為人必須聖潔敬虔，

你們也在他裏面受了不是人手所行的割禮，而是使你們脫去肉體情慾的基督的割禮。

「我們聽見他說：『我要拆毀這人手所造的殿，三日內另造一座不是人手所造的。』」

因為他等候着那座有根基的城，就是上帝所設計和建造的。

因為我們是上帝的同工，而你們是上帝的田地、上帝的房屋。

你把我提到風中，使我乘風而去，使我消失在烈風之中。

我呼求的日子，仇敵都要轉身撤退。上帝幫助我，這是我所知道的。

為這緣故，我也受這些苦難。然而，我不以為恥，因為我知道我所信的是誰，也深信他能保全他所交託我的，直到那日。
