親愛的，現在我們是神的兒女，將來怎樣，還沒有顯明；然而我們知道：主若顯現，我們必要像他，因為我們必要看見他本來是怎樣的。

我知道我的救贖主活著，最後他必在地上興起（“最後他必在地上興起”或譯：“最後他必站立在地上”）。我的皮肉遭受毀壞以後，這事就要發生，我必在肉體以外得見神。

趁著我還在世上（“在世上”原文作“在這帳棚”）的時候，我認為應當提醒你們，使你們常常警醒，因為我知道我離世（“離世”原文作“離開這帳棚”）的時候快到了，正如我們的主耶穌基督清楚指示我的。

我們有這寶貝在瓦器裡，是要顯明這極大的能力是屬於神，不是出於我們。

但基督已經來了，作了已經實現的美好事物的大祭司；他經過更大、更完備的會幕（不是人手所做的，也就是不屬於這被造的世界的）。

因為基督不是進了人手所做的聖所（那不過是真聖所的表象），而是進到天上，現在替我們顯露在神的面前。

但那首先的不是屬靈的，而是屬血氣的，然後才有屬靈的。第一個人是出於地，是屬土的；第二個人是出於天。那屬土的怎樣，所有屬土的也都怎樣；屬天的怎樣，所有屬天的也都怎樣。

何況那些住在土屋裡，根基在塵土中，比蠹蟲還容易被壓碎的人呢？

我們這些在帳棚裡面的人，勞苦歎息，是由於不願意脫去這個，卻願意穿上那個，使這必死的被生命吞滅。

可以得著不能朽壞、不能玷污、不能衰殘，為你們存留在天上的基業，

在我父的家裡，有許多住的地方；如果沒有，我怎麼會告訴你們我去是要為你們預備地方呢？（下半節或譯：“如果沒有，我早就對你們說了，因為我去是為你們預備地方。”）我若去為你們預備地方，就必再來接你們到我那裡去，好使我在哪裡，你們也在哪裡。

你必汗流滿面，才有飯吃，直到你歸回地土，因為你是從地土取出來的；你既然是塵土，就要歸回塵土。”

這一切既然都要這樣融化，你們應當怎樣為人，過著聖潔和敬虔的生活，

你們也在他裡面受了不是由人手所行的割禮，而是受了基督的割禮，就是除掉你們的罪身。

“我們聽他說過：‘我要拆毀這座人手所造的聖所，三日之內要另建一座不是人手所造的聖所。’”

因為他等待那座有根基的城，就是神所設計所建造的。

我們是神的同工，你們是神的田地，神的房屋。

你把我提到風中，使我被風颳去，使我在暴風中消散。

我呼求你的時候，我的仇敵就都轉身退後；因此我知道神是幫助我的。

為了這緣故，我也受這些苦，但我不以為恥，因為我知道我所信的是誰，也深信他能保守我所交託他的（“我所交託他的”或譯：“他所交託我的”），直到那日。
