相反，把那些可恥的隱祕之事棄絕了；不以詭詐行事，也不歪曲神的話語；反而藉著顯明真理，在神面前把自己推薦給每個人的良心。

棄愧恥之隱事、不行詭譎、不混上帝道、惟表彰真理、在上帝前質己於眾衷、

棄陰私愧恥之事、不行詭譎、不混上帝道、惟表彰真理、質己於眾、在上帝前、

棄隱慝可恥之事、不行詭詐、不混天主之道、惟表彰真理、使人之心、在天主前、以我為是、

毅然棄絕一切暗昧可恥之事、不行巧詐、不貶損天主之道、惟知在天主明鑒之下、藉真理之昌明、而自致於各人之良知而已。

Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

Instead, we have given up doing secret and shameful things. We don’t twist God’s word. In fact, we do just the opposite. We present the truth plainly. In the sight of God, we make our appeal to everyone’s sense of what is right and wrong.

But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don’t try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this.

Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful things, not acting deceitfully or distorting the word of God, but commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by an open display of the truth.

but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in trickery nor distorting the word of God, but by the open proclamation of the truth commending ourselves to every person’s conscience in the sight of God.

我們不像那許多的人，為了圖利而謬講神的道。相反地，我們講話，是出於真誠，出於神，是在神面前、在基督裡的。

我們的呼籲，不是錯謬的，不是污穢的，也沒有詭詐。相反地，神既然考驗過我們，把福音委託給我們，我們就傳講，不像是討人歡心的，而是討那察驗我們心思的神的喜悅。我們從來不說奉承的話，這是你們知道的，神可以作證，我們並沒有藉故起貪心，

我們既然知道主是可畏的，就勸勉眾人。我們在神面前是顯明的，我盼望在你們的良心裡也是顯明的。

這樣的人是假使徒，是詭詐的工人，裝成基督的使徒。這並不希奇，因為撒但自己也裝作光明的天使，所以，撒但的僕役裝成公義的僕役，也不必大驚小怪。他們的結局必按他們所作的而定。

所以時候還沒有到，你們不要批評，直等到主來；他要照出黑暗中的隱情，顯明人心裡的動機。那時，各人要從神那裡得著稱讚。

我只怕你們的心受到引誘，失去對基督的單純和貞潔，好像蛇用詭計騙了夏娃一樣。

我若對他誇獎過你們甚麼，也不覺得慚愧。我們對你們所說的是真話，照樣，我們在提多面前誇獎你們的也是真的。

反而在各樣的事上，表明自己是神的僕人，就如持久的忍耐、患難、貧乏、困苦、鞭打、監禁、擾亂、勞苦、不睡覺、禁食、純潔、知識、容忍、恩慈、聖靈、無偽的愛心、真理的道、神的大能等事上；並且是藉著左右兩手中公義的武器，

那麼，你們在現今以為羞恥的事上，當時得了甚麼呢？那些事的結局就是死。

使我們不再作小孩子，中了人的詭計和騙人的手段，給異教之風搖撼，飄來飄去，

因為他們暗中所作的事，連提起來也是羞恥的。

我不以福音為恥；這福音是神的大能，要救所有相信的，先是猶太人，後是希臘人。

我們引以為榮的，就是我們處世為人，是本著神的聖潔和真誠，不是靠著人的聰明，而是靠著神的恩典，對你們更是這樣，這是我們的良心可以作證的。

雖然我不善於辭令，卻是有學問的，我們在各方面，已經向你們清楚顯明了。
