棄隱慝可恥之事、不行詭詐、不混天主之道、惟表彰真理、使人之心、在天主前、以我為是、

毅然棄絕一切暗昧可恥之事、不行巧詐、不貶損天主之道、惟知在天主明鑒之下、藉真理之昌明、而自致於各人之良知而已。

Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

Instead, we have given up doing secret and shameful things. We don’t twist God’s word. In fact, we do just the opposite. We present the truth plainly. In the sight of God, we make our appeal to everyone’s sense of what is right and wrong.

But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don’t try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this.

Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful things, not acting deceitfully or distorting the word of God, but commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by an open display of the truth.

我们不像那许多的人，为了图利而谬讲神的道。相反地，我们讲话，是出于真诚，出于神，是在神面前、在基督里的。

我们的呼吁，不是错谬的，不是污秽的，也没有诡诈。相反地，神既然考验过我们，把福音委托给我们，我们就传讲，不象是讨人欢心的，而是讨那察验我们心思的神的喜悦。我们从来不说奉承的话，这是你们知道的，神可以作证，我们并没有借故起贪心，

我们既然知道主是可畏的，就劝勉众人。我们在神面前是显明的，我盼望在你们的良心里也是显明的。

这样的人是假使徒，是诡诈的工人，装成基督的使徒。这并不希奇，因为撒但自己也装作光明的天使，所以，撒但的仆役装成公义的仆役，也不必大惊小怪。他们的结局必按他们所作的而定。

所以时候还没有到，你们不要批评，直等到主来；他要照出黑暗中的隐情，显明人心里的动机。那时，各人要从神那里得著称赞。

我只怕你们的心受到引诱，失去对基督的单纯和贞洁，好像蛇用诡计骗了夏娃一样。

我若对他夸奖过你们什么，也不觉得惭愧。我们对你们所说的是真话，照样，我们在提多面前夸奖你们的也是真的。

反而在各样的事上，表明自己是神的仆人，就如持久的忍耐、患难、贫乏、困苦、鞭打、监禁、扰乱、劳苦、不睡觉、禁食、纯洁、知识、容忍、恩慈、圣灵、无伪的爱心、真理的道、神的大能等事上；并且是藉着左右两手中公义的武器，

那么，你们在现今以为羞耻的事上，当时得了什么呢？那些事的结局就是死。

使我们不再作小孩子，中了人的诡计和骗人的手段，给异教之风摇撼，飘来飘去，

因为他们暗中所作的事，连提起来也是羞耻的。

我不以福音为耻；这福音是神的大能，要救所有相信的，先是犹太人，后是希腊人。

我们引以为荣的，就是我们处世为人，是本着神的圣洁和真诚，不是靠着人的聪明，而是靠着神的恩典，对你们更是这样，这是我们的良心可以作证的。

虽然我不善于辞令，却是有学问的，我们在各方面，已经向你们清楚显明了。
