So we don’t spend all our time looking at what we can see. Instead, we look at what we can’t see. That’s because what can be seen lasts only a short time. But what can’t be seen will last forever.

原来我们行事是藉着信，不是藉着眼见。

因为我们得救在于这盼望。然而，看得见的盼望，就不是盼望了；谁会盼望自己所看得见的呢？但如果我们盼望那看不见的，就要藉着忍耐来热切等待。

信，是对所盼望的事有把握，对看不见的事有确据。

这些人都怀着信仰死去，没有得到那些所应许的，却远远地看见并且欢迎它们，又承认自己在地上是异乡人，是寄居的。

原来世界上一切肉体的欲望、眼目的欲望、今生的骄傲，都不是出于父，而是出于世界的。世界和属世的欲望正在消逝；但那遵行神旨意的，却永远长存。

这就是那应许，是他所应许我们的，就是永恒的生命。

他宁愿选择与神的子民同受虐待，也不愿享受暂时的罪中之乐。他把为基督受的责骂看做是比埃及的财宝更大的财富，因为他注目那将来的报偿。因着信，他不怕王的愤怒，离开了埃及，因为他恒心忍耐，如同看见了不可见的那一位。

仰望信仰的创始者和成终者耶稣。他为了那摆在他前面的喜乐，就轻看羞辱，忍受了十字架，如今坐在神宝座的右边。其实，你们应当仔细地思想耶稣如何忍受了罪人的顶撞，这样你们心里就不会因丧气而疲倦。

“结果这些人将离去，进入永远的刑罚。然而，义人将进入永恒的生命。”

愿我们的主耶稣基督自己和神我们的父，就是爱我们又在恩典中把永恒的安慰和美好的盼望赐给我们的那一位，
