蓋目前所受之區區苦痛、所以為吾人作成無量之榮福也。

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

Our troubles are small. They last only for a short time. But they are earning for us a glory that will last forever. It is greater than all our troubles.

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.

But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.

Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope:and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.

Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved in various trials,that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—whom, not having known, you love. to those who by perseverance in well- doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life;

Now to him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy,

Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!

For I know that this will turn out to my salvation, through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.

Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,

so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your perseverance and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.
