But now we have been released from the law, since we have died to what held us, so that we may serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the old letter of the law.

Because of this oath, Jesus has also become the guarantee of a better covenant.

Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us.Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf,“ Be reconciled to God.”

I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of his power.

He said to them,“ This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.

A man who is physically uncircumcised, but who keeps the law, will judge you who are a lawbreaker in spite of having the letter of the law and circumcision.For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh.On the contrary, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart— by the Spirit, not the letter. That person’s praise is not from people but from God.

For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which was entrusted to me.I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful, appointing me to the ministry—

According to God’s grace that was given to me, I have laid a foundation as a skilled master builder, and another builds on it. But each one is to be careful how he builds on it.

Now if the ministry that brought death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory, so that the Israelites were not able to gaze steadily at Moses’s face because of its glory, which was set aside,

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, Everyone who does not do everything written in the book of the law is cursed.Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith.But the law is not based on faith; instead, the one who does these things will live by them.

If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith and the good teaching that you have followed.

What then is Apollos? What is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, and each has the role the Lord has given.

I have become its servant, according to God’s commission that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints.God wanted to make known among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.I labor for this, striving with his strength that works powerfully in me.

And just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom he wants.

And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,

Through him we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the Gentiles,

Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life againand I died. The commandment that was meant for life resulted in death for me.For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.

because the law produces wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.

‘ Anyone who does not put the words of this law into practice is cursed.’ And all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

Therefore, he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance, because a death has taken place for redemption from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.Where a will exists, the death of the one who made it must be established.For a will is valid only when people die, since it is never in effect while the one who made it is living.That is why even the first covenant was inaugurated with blood.For when every command had been proclaimed by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll itself and all the people,saying, This is the blood of the covenant that God has ordained for you.

As it is written: I have made you the father of many nations— in the presence of the God in whom he believed, the one who gives life to the dead and calls things into existence that do not exist.

made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins

For this gospel I was appointed a herald, apostle, and teacher,

Is the law therefore contrary to God’s promises? Absolutely not! For if the law had been granted with the ability to give life, then righteousness would certainly be on the basis of the law.

For if the ministry that brought condemnation had glory, the ministry that brings righteousness overflows with even more glory.
