其實審判外面的人，到底與我有什麼關係呢？你們難道不該審判裡面的人嗎？至於外面的人，神會審判他們；而「你們應當把那邪惡的人從你們裡面除去。」

弟兄們，我請求你們要像我一樣，因為我也像你們一樣。你們一點也沒有虧負過我。

到處都有消息說你們中間有淫亂，並且這樣的淫亂連外邦人中也沒有——竟然有人與他的繼母同居。你們卻還自我膨脹！難道你們不更應該悲傷，讓做這事的人從你們裡面被除去嗎？要知道，我雖然身體不在你們那裡，但靈裡卻在你們那裡；我已經像在你們那裡一樣審判了做這事的人。當你們聚集，與我的靈和我們主耶穌的權能同在的時候，你們要奉我們主耶穌的名，把這樣的人交給撒旦，使他的肉體毀滅，好讓他的靈魂在主的日子可以得救。

我在主裡深信你們不會有別的思想；不過那攪擾你們的，無論他是誰，都將受到懲罰。
