For if I cause you pain, who is there to make me glad but the one whom I have pained?

倘若我叫你们忧愁，除了我叫那忧愁的人以外，谁能叫我快乐呢？

我若使你们悲伤，除了因我而使他悲伤的那人以外，谁能使我喜乐呢？

我若使你们悲伤，除了因我而使他悲伤的那人以外，谁能使我喜乐呢？

如果我使你们忧伤，那么除了因我而忧伤的你们，还有谁能使我喜乐呢？

如果我使你们忧愁，除了那因我而忧愁的人以外，谁能使我快乐呢？

因为如果我使你们忧伤，那么，除了我使他忧伤的那个人，谁能使我欢喜呢？

倘若我叫你們憂愁，除了我叫那憂愁的人以外，誰能叫我快樂呢？

我若使你們悲傷，除了因我而使他悲傷的那人以外，誰能使我喜樂呢？

我若使你們悲傷，除了因我而使他悲傷的那人以外，誰能使我喜樂呢？

如果我使你們憂傷，那麼除了因我而憂傷的你們，還有誰能使我喜樂呢？

如果我使你們憂愁，除了那因我而憂愁的人以外，誰能使我快樂呢？

因為我若讓你們憂愁，誰能使我快樂呢？不是那因我而成為憂愁的你們是誰呢？

因為如果我使你們憂傷，那麼，除了我使他憂傷的那個人，誰能使我歡喜呢？

我若令爾憂、則我所令憂者外、孰令我樂乎、

若我令爾憂、則爾之憂、既為我所使、此外誰使我樂乎、

我以此書達爾、免我至之時、當使我樂者、轉使我憂、

吾苟使爾等憂戚、又誰能使我歡樂？豈吾所使憂戚之人、轉能令吾歡樂耶？

For if I grieve you, who is left to make me glad but you whom I have grieved?

If I make you sad, who is going to make me glad? Only you, the people I made sad.

For if I cause you grief, who will make me glad? Certainly not someone I have grieved.

For if I cause you pain, then who will cheer me other than the one being hurt by me?

For if I cause you sorrow, who then will be the one making me glad but the one who is made sorrowful by me?

For if I make you sorrowful, then who is he who makes me glad but the one who is made sorrowful by me?

For if I make you sorry, who then is he that maketh me glad but he that is made sorry by me?

For if I cause you pain, then who will cheer me other than the one being hurt by me?

For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?

For if I make you sad, who would be left to make me glad but the one I caused to be sad?

For if I make you grieve, then who will make me glad but he who is made to grieve by me?

For even if I made you grieve with my letter, I do not regret it— though I did regret it, for I see that that letter grieved you, though only for a while.

just as you did partially understand us— that on the day of our Lord Jesus you will boast of us as we will boast of you.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?

If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
