为君王和一切在位的，也要如此，使我们能够敬虔端正地过平稳宁静的生活。

你当竭力在上帝面前作一个经得起考验、无愧的工人，按着正意讲解真理的话。

主必救我脱离一切的凶恶，也必救我进他的天国。愿荣耀归给他，直到永永远远。阿们！

愿赐平安的上帝亲自使你们完全成圣！愿你们的灵、魂、体得蒙保守，在我们的主耶稣基督来临的时候，完全无可指责。

我所祷告的就是：要你们的爱心，在知识和各样见识上，不断增长，使你们能分辨是非，在基督的日子作真诚无可指责的人，更靠着耶稣基督结满仁义的果子，归荣耀称赞给上帝。

忍受试炼的人有福了，因为他经过考验以后必得生命的冠冕，这是主应许给爱他之人的。

你们在外邦人中要品行端正，好让那些人，虽然毁谤你们是作恶的，会因看见你们的好行为而在鉴察的日子归荣耀给上帝。

行事为人要端正，好像在白昼行走。不可荒宴醉酒；不可好色淫荡；不可纷争嫉妒。

我们留心做好事，不但在主面前，就是在人面前也是这样。

当我们软弱而你们刚强时，我们也欢喜。我们所祈求的是：你们能成为完全人。

我不求你把他们从世上接走，只求你保全他们，使他们脱离那恶者。

不叫我们陷入试探；救我们脱离那恶者。因为国度、权柄、荣耀，全是你的，直到永远。阿们！’

反倒在各样的事上表明自己是上帝的用人：就如在持久的忍耐、患难、困苦、灾难、

因为蒙悦纳的，不是自我称许的，而是主所称许的。

因为有人说：“他信上的语气既严厉又强硬，他本人却软弱无能，言语粗俗。”

我想，上帝把我们作使徒的明显地列在末后，好像定死罪的囚犯，因为我们成了一台戏，给世界、天使和众人观看。我们为基督的缘故成为愚拙的；你们在基督里倒是聪明的。我们软弱，你们倒强壮；你们有荣耀，我们倒被藐视。直到如今，我们还是又饥又渴，又赤身露体，又挨打，又到处漂泊，并且劳碌，亲手做工；被人咒骂，我们就祝福；被人迫害，我们就忍受；被人毁谤，我们就劝导。直到如今，人还把我们看作世上的污秽，万物中的渣滓。

在你们中间必然有分门结党的事，好使那些经得起考验的人显明出来。

不要以恶报恶，众人以为美的事要留心去做。
