好使我们能完全敬神、庄重地过平静安稳的生活。

你要努力地向神显明自己是经过考验的，是无愧的工人，能正确分解真理的话语。

主将会救我脱离一切凶恶之事，并且救我进入他属天的国度。愿荣耀归于他，直到永永远远！阿们。

愿赐平安的神亲自使你们完全分别为圣。愿你们的灵、魂、体，在我们的主耶稣基督来临的时候，全然得蒙保守、无可指责。

我是这样祷告的：愿你们的爱心能在真正的知识和一切分辨力上，越来越丰足有余，使你们能分辨是非，好在基督的日子里是纯洁、无可指责的，并且充满了那藉着耶稣基督而来的义行果子，归于神的荣耀和称赞。

忍受试炼的人是蒙福的；因为他经过考验以后，就要得到生命的冠冕，就是主应许给那些爱他之人的。

你们在外邦人中，要有良好的品行；这样，当他们诽谤你们是作恶之人的时候，因看到你们美好的行为，就在神临到的日子荣耀神。

我们要行事端正，好像在白昼中那样：不可荒宴、醉酒；不可淫乱、好色；不可纷争、嫉妒。

因为我们不仅要敬重主看为美善的事，也要敬重人看为美善的事。

实际上，当我们软弱而你们刚强的时候，我们就欢喜；我们还祈求这一点：就是你们得以完全。

我不是求你带他们离开这世界，而是求你保守他们脱离那恶者。

不要让我们陷入试探，救我们脱离那恶者。因为国度、权柄、荣耀，全是你的，直到永远！阿们。

反而在一切事上都证明自己是神的仆人：在极大的忍耐中，在各种患难、艰难、困苦中，

因为那经过考验的人，不是自我推荐的，而是主所推荐的。

因为有人说：“保罗的书信又严厉又强硬，但他亲身在的时候却是软弱的人，他的言语也被藐视。”

其实我在想，神把我们做使徒的列在最后，好像被定死罪的人；原来我们成了给宇宙、天使、世人的一台戏。我们为基督的缘故是愚拙的，你们在基督里倒是聪明的；我们软弱，你们倒强壮；你们有荣耀，我们倒不受尊重。直到现在这时刻，我们还是又饥又渴，衣不蔽体，被人殴打，居无定所，并且亲手劳苦做工。被人辱骂，我们就祝福；被人逼迫，我们就容忍；受到毁谤，我们就劝导。我们被当做世界的垃圾、万人的渣滓，直到如今。

实际上，你们当中必定也会有结派的事，好让那些经过考验的人在你们中间能显露出来。

不要对任何人以恶报恶；要敬重所有的人看为美善的事；
