你應當竭力在上帝面前做經得起考驗、問心無愧的工人，正確地闡釋真理之道。

主必救我脫離一切兇險，帶我進入祂的天國。願榮耀歸給上帝，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

願賜平安的上帝使你們完全聖潔！願祂保守你們的靈、魂、體，使你們在主耶穌基督再來的時候無可指責！

我所祈求的就是：你們的愛心隨著屬靈知識的增加和辨別力的提高而日益增長，使你們知道怎樣擇善而從，做誠實無過的人，一直到基督再來的日子，並靠著耶穌基督結滿仁義的果子，使上帝得到榮耀與頌讚。

在試煉中能夠忍耐到底的人有福了，因為他若經得起考驗，就會得到主應許賜給愛祂之人的生命冠冕。

我想，上帝把我們使徒排在隊伍的末尾，好像被判了死罪的囚犯，讓我們成了一台戲，給全宇宙看，就是給世人和天使觀看。我們為了基督的緣故被人看為愚昧，你們在基督裡倒成了聰明人；我們軟弱，你們倒強壯；你們受人尊敬，我們倒被人藐視。我們至今還是又饑又渴，衣不蔽體，遭受毒打，居無定所，還要親手勞作。我們被人咒罵，就為對方祝福；受人迫害，就逆來順受；被人毀謗，就好言相勸。人們至今仍將我們看作世上的廢物，萬物中的渣滓。

你們中間必然會有分裂的事，好顯出誰是經得起考驗的。

不要以惡報惡。要尊重別人，眾人都認為好的事，應該竭力去做。
