爾曹曷細自檢點、一測爾信德之虛實。爾曹詎不自知基督實寓於爾心中乎？抑爾曹乃為有名無實之信徒乎？

Take a good look at yourselves to see if you are really believers. Test yourselves. Don’t you realize that Christ Jesus is in you? Unless, of course, you fail the test!

Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup.

No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,

I in them and you in me— so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:“ I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

But women will be saved through childbearing— if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!

If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.

Because they consider all the offenses they have committed and turn away from them, that person will surely live; they will not die.

And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong— not so that people will see that we have stood the test but so that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed.

They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith

As you come to him, the living Stone— rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

They are called rejected silver, because the Lord has rejected them.”

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
