I fear that when I come my God will again humiliate me in your presence, and I will grieve for many who sinned before and have not repented of the moral impurity, sexual immorality, and sensuality they practiced.

又恐我再至時、上帝卑我於爾前、我將為彼干罪諸人、未改悔其污穢淫亂、邪侈之行者而憂也、

勿使我至時、上帝卑我、見眾犯罪、污穢淫行、邪侈、而不悔改、為吾憂也、

又恐我復來時、我天主使我於爾中慚愧、且見多人已犯罪、而未悔其所行之污穢、姦淫、邪侈、我則甚憂、

更恐吾來時、天主令我汗顏無地、蓋一見諸犯奸邪淫亂之徒、尚未幡然悔改、吾能不為之號咷大哭乎哉？

I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged.

I’m afraid that when I come again my God will put me to shame in front of you. Then I will be sad about many who sinned earlier and have not turned away from it. They have not turned away from uncleanness, sexual sins and wild living. They have done all those things.

I fear that when I come again my God may humble me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those who sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and sensuality that they have practiced.

Yes, I am afraid that when I come again, God will humble me in your presence. And I will be grieved because many of you have not given up your old sins. You have not repented of your impurity, sexual immorality, and eagerness for lustful pleasure.

Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity,

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and the kind of sexual immorality that is not even tolerated among the Gentiles— a man is sleeping with his father’s wife.

I wrote to you in a letter not to associate with sexually immoral people.I did not mean the immoral people of this world or the greedy and swindlers or idolaters; otherwise you would have to leave the world.But actually, I wrote you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister and is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or verbally abusive, a drunkard or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.

Therefore, put to death what belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.

save others by snatching them from the fire; have mercy on others but with fear, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or males who have sex with males,no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom.And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

My eyes pour out streams of tears because people do not follow your instruction.

Let us walk with decency, as in the daytime: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy.

So Moses returned to the LORD and said,“ Oh, these people have committed a grave sin; they have made a god of gold for themselves.

I now rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your grief led to repentance. Marriage is to be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, because God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

Don’t you know that your bodies are a part of Christ’s body? So should I take a part of Christ’s body and make it part of a prostitute? For Scripture says, The two will become one flesh.But anyone joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.Flee sexual immorality! Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body.

If my head were a flowing spring, my eyes a fountain of tears, I would weep day and night over the slain of my dear people.

For by uttering boastful, empty words, they seduce, with fleshly desires and debauchery, people who have barely escaped from those who live in error.

Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

He who testifies about these things says,“ Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

Even to the day of his death, Samuel never saw Saul again. Samuel mourned for Saul, and the LORD regretted he had made Saul king over Israel.

For know and recognize this: Every sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, does not have an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for God’s wrath is coming on the disobedient because of these things.

And we are ready to punish any disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

especially because of the extraordinary revelations. Therefore, so that I would not exalt myself, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to torment me so that I would not exalt myself.

But I am sending the brothers so that our boasting about you in this matter would not prove empty, and so that you would be ready just as I said.Otherwise, if any Macedonians come with me and find you unprepared, we, not to mention you, would be put to shame in that situation.

For this is God’s will, your sanctification: that you keep away from sexual immorality,that each of you knows how to control his own body in holiness and honor,not with lustful passions, like the Gentiles, who don’t know God.This means one must not transgress against and take advantage of a brother or sister in this manner, because the Lord is an avenger of all these offenses, as we also previously told and warned you.For God has not called us to impurity but to live in holiness.

that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart.

“ I fell down in the presence of the LORD forty days and forty nights because the LORD had threatened to destroy you.

Likewise, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns committed sexual immorality and perversions, and serve as an example by undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

“ So I went back down the mountain, while it was blazing with fire, and the two tablets of the covenant were in my hands.

in order to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

But the cowards, faithless, detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars— their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

But if you will not listen, my innermost being will weep in secret because of your pride. My eyes will overflow with tears, for the LORD’s flock has been taken captive.

Therefore, show them proof before the churches of your love and of our boasting about you.

especially those who follow the polluting desires of the flesh and despise authority. Bold, arrogant people! They are not afraid to slander the glorious ones;however, angels, who are greater in might and power, do not bring a slanderous charge against them before the Lord.But these people, like irrational animals— creatures of instinct born to be caught and destroyed— slander what they do not understand, and in their destruction they too will be destroyed.They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. They consider it a pleasure to carouse in broad daylight. They are spots and blemishes, delighting in their deceptions while they feast with you.They have eyes full of adultery that never stop looking for sin. They seduce unstable people and have hearts trained in greed. Children under a curse!
