我請提多就爾、又求一弟偕之、提多曾得爾財乎、我眾非同一心乎、非同一跡而行乎、○

我曾慫恿提多至爾處、並遣發一兄弟與之偕、提多曾佔爾便宜乎？吾儕豈非表裏如一、心跡雙清者乎。

When I urged Titus to visit you and sent our other brother with him, did Titus take advantage of you? No! For we have the same spirit and walk in each other’s steps, doing things the same way.

I exhorted Titus, and I sent the brother with him. Did Titus take any advantage of you? Didn’t we walk in the same spirit? Didn’t we walk in the same steps?

因此，我们勉励提多，既然开始了这慈善的事，就应当在你们那里把这事办好。

又作受割礼之人的父，就是作那些不仅受割礼，并且照着我们祖宗亚伯拉罕未受割礼时就信的那脚踪而行之人的父。

你们的心要容得下我们。我们没有亏负过谁，没有损害过谁，也没有占过谁的便宜。

感谢神，他把我对你们那样的热情，放在提多的心里。提多一方面接受了劝勉，但他自己更加热心，自愿到你们那里去。我们还派了一位弟兄和他同去，（这人在福音的事工上，得到了众教会的称赞。不但这样，众教会更选派了他作我们的旅伴。我们办理这慈善的事，是为了主的荣耀，也是为了我们的心愿。）免得有人因为我们经管的捐款太多，就毁谤我们。因为我们努力去作的，不仅是主认为是美的事，也是众人认为是美的事。我们还派了另一位弟兄与他们同去；我们在许多的事上多次考验过他，知道他很热心；现在他对你们大有信心，就更加热心了。至于提多，他是我的同伴，为你们的缘故作了我的同工；还有我们那两位弟兄，他们是众教会所派的，是基督的荣耀。

于是摩西大怒，对耶和华说：“求你不要悦纳他们的礼物，我没有夺过他们一头驴，也没有害过他们一个人。”

看哪，我在这里！你们只管在耶和华面前，以及在他的受膏者面前，作证指控我：我夺过谁的牛？抢过谁的驴？欺负过谁？虐待过谁？从谁手里受过贿赂，以致我的眼睛因此被蒙住呢？如果有，我必偿还给你们。”他们回答：“你没有欺负过我们，没有虐待过我们，也没有从谁手里取过什么东西。”

我从来没有贪图任何人的金银或衣服。我这两只手，供应了我和同伴的需要，这是你们自己知道的。我凡事以身作则，你们必须照样辛劳，扶助软弱的人，并且记念主耶稣的话：‘施比受更为有福。’”

从前我为基督的福音到了特罗亚，虽然主给我开了门，我心里仍然没有安宁，因为见不到提多弟兄。于是我辞别了那里的人，到马其顿去了。

但那安慰灰心的人的神，藉着提多来到，安慰了我们；

我靠着主耶稣，希望不久就会差提摩太到你们那里去，使我们知道你们的情况，可以得到鼓励。没有人与我同心，真正关心你们的事，因为大家只顾自己的事，而不理耶稣基督的事。不过，你们知道提摩太已证明了他的为人，他和我一同为了福音服事主，就像儿子跟父亲一样。

自从我奉命在犹大地作他们省长的日子以来，就是从亚达薛西王二十年，直到三十二年，共十二年，我和我的兄弟都没有吃过省长的俸禄。

你们就是为此蒙召，因基督也为你们受过苦，给你们留下榜样，叫你们跟随他的脚踪行。
