爾等其注意、我欲第三次就爾、仍不擬增爾負擔。蓋吾所求者爾也、非爾之所有也。且兒女本無積財與父母之義務、惟父母對於兒女則有此義務耳。

我既確然知此、素欲就爾、使爾再得益、

我書此、非欲愧爾、乃欲勸爾、如我之愛子、爾於基督雖有萬師、無有多父、蓋我以福音生爾於耶穌基督、

我儕從未用諂諛之言、為爾所知、亦不貪婪藉故以求利、有天主為證、我儕為基督之使徒、雖可使人尊重、然未求榮於爾曹、或於他人、

我未嘗貪人金銀衣服、

牧天主之群羊在爾處者而監督之、非由勉強、乃由樂意、非為獲不義之利、乃由甘心、毋自以為主、轄制天主之民、民原文作業惟當作群羊之模範、則牧長顯現之時、爾可得不壞之榮冕、

爾亦知我儕勤勉安慰爾中各人、如父於子然、

蓋我儕所望所喜所誇之冕何哉、豈非爾曹於我主耶穌基督降臨時、得立於其前乎、蓋爾曹乃我儕之榮、我儕之樂也、

我意經過瑪其頓、經過時、必當就爾、

然主若許我、我必速來、其時我所欲知者、非誇者之言、乃其能也、

我儕如是戀慕爾、願賜爾不第以天主之福音、乃以己之生命、因爾為我儕所愛也、

此第三次、我將就爾、經云、憑二三人之口為證、言乃有定、我第二次與爾覿面時、已預言之、今與爾相離、復預言之、以書告彼曾犯罪者、及其餘之人云、我若復來、必不寛容、

我言此、非我求贈、惟欲爾多結果、使爾獲益、

我所愛所慕之兄弟、爾為我之喜樂、我之冠冕、我所愛者乎、爾當信主而堅立、

若有饑者可食於家、免爾聚集以取罪、其餘之事、我來則定之、

善人之果、即生命樹之果、能得人者為明哲、
