Or did I commit a sin in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I preached to you the gospel of God for nought?

我因为白白传神的福音给你们，就自居卑微，叫你们高升，这算是我犯罪吗？

我自卑致爾高舉、傳爾上帝福音而無值、乃為罪乎、

我卑以自牧、傳上帝福音、不傷爾財、使爾高舉、是耶否耶、

我傳天主之福音於爾、而不費爾貲、自居卑微、使爾高舉、此為罪乎、

豈因吾之薄於己而厚於爾、乃反獲罪戾乎？

Was it a sin for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge?

I preached God’s good news to you free of charge. When I did that, I was putting myself down in order to lift you up. Was this a sin?

Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached God’s gospel to you free of charge?

Was I wrong when I humbled myself and honored you by preaching God’s Good News to you without expecting anything in return?

Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

For what is there wherein ye were made inferior to the rest of the churches, except it be that I myself was not a burden to you? forgive me this wrong.

We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye have glory, but we have dishonor.Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling- place;and we toil, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;

For ye remember, brethren, our labor and travail: working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

Even so did the Lord ordain that they that proclaim the gospel should live of the gospel.But I have used none of these things: and I write not these things that it may be so done in my case; for it were good for me rather to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; for woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel.For if I do this of mine own will, I have a reward: but if not of mine own will, I have a stewardship intrusted to me.What then is my reward? After these things he departed from Athens, and came to Corinth.And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, a man of Pontus by race, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome: and he came unto them;and because he was of the same trade, he abode with them, and they wrought; for by their trade they were tentmakers.

If others partake of this right over you, do not we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right; but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.
