Since many boast according to the flesh, I will boast also.

既有好些人凭着血气自夸，我也要自夸了。

既然有好些人凭着血气在夸口，我也要夸口了。

既然許多人憑血氣誇口，我當然也可以誇口。

既然有許多人按著世俗的標準誇口，我也要誇口。

既有許多人以屬肉體之事而誇口，我也要誇口。

既然有許多人按人的標準自誇，我也要自誇了，

既多有依形軀而誇者、則我亦誇矣、

如眾以外貌自詡、則吾亦可自詡、

有多人以外貌自誇、則我亦自誇、

方今以身世自誇者多矣、吾亦欲一誇焉。

Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast.

Many are bragging the way the people of the world do. So I will brag like that too.

Since many boast according to the flesh, I too will boast.

And since others boast about their human achievements, I will, too.

Since many boast according to the flesh, I will also boast.

Seeing that many boast according to the flesh, I also will boast.

Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.

Since many boast in an unspiritual way, I will also boast.

Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.

Since many are boasting according to human standards, I too will boast.

Seeing that many boast after the flesh, I will also boast.

In behalf of such a man I will boast; but in my own behalf I will not boast, except regarding my weaknesses.For if I do wish to boast I will not be foolish, for I will be speaking the truth; but I refrain from this, so that no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me.

For we do not presume to rank or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they have no understanding.But we will not boast beyond our measure, but within the measure of the domain which God assigned to us as a measure, to reach even as far as you.For we are not overextending ourselves, as if we did not reach to you, for we were the first to come even as far as you in the gospel of Christ;not boasting beyond our measure, that is, in other people’s labors, but with the hope that as your faith grows, we will be, within our domain, enlarged even more by you,so as to preach the gospel even to the regions beyond you, and not to boast in what has been accomplished in the domain of another.But the one who boasts is to boast in the Lord.For it is not the one who commends himself that is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.

But what I am doing I will also continue to do, so that I may eliminate the opportunity from those who want an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the matter about which they are boasting.

For,“ All flesh is like grass, And all its glory is like the flower of grass. The grass withers, And the flower falls off,

for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and take pride in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh,although I myself could boast as having confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he is confident in the flesh, I have more reason:

I have become foolish; you yourselves compelled me. Actually I should have been commended by you, since I was in no respect inferior to the most eminent apostles, even though I am a nobody.

To my shame I must say that we have been weak by comparison. But in whatever respect anyone else is bold— I am speaking in foolishness— I too am bold.Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they descendants of Abraham? So am I.Are they servants of Christ?— I am speaking as if insane— I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death.

And He has said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

This is what the Lord says:“ Let no wise man boast of his wisdom, nor let the mighty man boast of his might, nor a rich man boast of his riches;but let the one who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises mercy, justice, and righteousness on the earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord.

We are fools on account of Christ, but you are prudent in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are without honor!
