請你們多包涵，聽我說幾句愚妄話吧！我知道你們一定會包容我。

就算我誇口，也不算狂妄，因為我所說的都是實話。只是我不會這樣做，恐怕有人把我看得太高，超過了他對我的所見所聞。

因為你們這些聰明人竟然甘願忍受那些傻瓜，

我成了「傻瓜」是被你們逼的！你們本該稱許我才對。我雖然算不了什麼，卻沒有一點比不上那些「超級使徒」。

慚愧得很，我必須說，我們太軟弱了，做不出那樣的事！然而，別人敢誇口的，讓我再講一句傻話，我也敢。他們是希伯來人，我也是。他們是以色列人，我也是。他們是亞伯拉罕的子孫，我也是。他們自稱是基督的僕人，我說句狂話，我更是！我比他們更辛苦，坐牢更多，身受更重的鞭打，經常出生入死。
