But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his trickery, your minds will be led astray from sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Now the serpent was more cunning than any animal of the field which the Lord God had made. For it is written:‘ You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’ ”
