因吾人作戰之武器、非屬形而下者、顧賴主之力其效能則足以掃蕩一切險固之壁壘。

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

The weapons I fight with are not the weapons the world uses. In fact, it is just the opposite. My weapons have the power of God to destroy the camps of the enemy.

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This[ is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.Who[ art] thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel[ thou shalt become] a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone[ thereof with] shoutings,[ crying], Grace, grace unto it.

Neither yield ye your members[ as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members[ as] instruments of righteousness unto God.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency[ is] of God;

And when Gideon was come, behold,[ there was] a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along.And his fellow answered and said, This[ is] nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel:[ for] into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.And it was[ so], when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.And he divided the three hundred men[ into] three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man’s hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be[ that], as I do, so shall ye do.When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that[ are] with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say,[ The sword] of the LORD, and of Gideon.So Gideon, and the hundred men that[ were] with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that[ were] in their hands.And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow[ withal]: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.And they stood every man in his place round about the camp: and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man’s sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath,[ and] to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.And the men of Israel gathered themselves together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher, and out of all Manasseh, and pursued after the Midianites.

The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.Where[ is] the wise? where[ is] the scribe? where[ is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
