Then I will be able to preach the good news in the areas beyond you. I don’t want to brag about work already done in someone else’s territory.

所播福音當更遠矣。吾儕既不捨己耘人、亦不掠人之美。

so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory.

so that we may preach the gospel in lands beyond you, without boasting of work already done in another’s area of influence.

Then we will be able to go and preach the Good News in other places far beyond you, where no one else is working. Then there will be no question of our boasting about work done in someone else’s territory.

So I plan to see you when I go to Spain. I hope to visit you while I am passing through. And I hope you will help me on my journey there. But first I want to enjoy being with you for a while.Now I am on my way to Jerusalem to serve the Lord’s people there.The believers in Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to take an offering. It was for those who were poor among the Lord’s people in Jerusalem.They were happy to do it. And of course they owe it to them. The Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings. So the Gentiles should share their earthly blessings with the Jews.I want to finish my task. I want to make sure that the poor in Jerusalem have received this offering. Then I will go to Spain. On my way I will visit you.

After all this had happened, Paul decided to go to Jerusalem. He went through Macedonia and Achaia.“ After I have been to Jerusalem,” he said,“ I must visit Rome also.”
